Right. I know that they are lazy but at least I can fix that issue or let it be like that. I don't care. I will enjoying the game the same!

No, I'm not. I've helped them edit that list of missing items for the past month or more, pretty much since bflury first put it together and, while I appreciate that it gives people a very thorough list of items that can't be found in TS4, it also is essentially a wishlist of items that people wanted to see in the base game. It includes minor and major things from all 3 previous games, including things patched in when Expansion Packs were released and there are a few things that I personally believe are misleading. The wording is a bit sensational in the post that bfluff put together and definitely designed to push the idea that the game is sorely lacking.

So, while I appreciate the work that was put into the list (including my own input :D), I think that list is pretty misleading in many ways because it solely focuses on the negatives (in a way that, to me, is exaggerated a bit) and doesn't leave the reader with any indication of what is included in the game. As you pointed out about people only reading your title and responding to it, how many people will simply read the title of the missing litst, look at the length of the list and think, OMG! THIS GAME SUCKS!

With that said, it really is the responsibility of every individual to do their own research, both bad and good, to figure out what is most important to them. I know bflury didn't fully plan for the list to become what it is now but, at this point, it's pretty much the rallying cry of those who are upset with the direction Maxis took and don't like the look of the game.

And all that to say again that, no, I'm not turned off by TS4. I'm actually very excited for it. I'm pretty thrilled that they decided to focus on the emotions, multitasking, traits and personalities of the Sims because that's really what I found most disappointing about TS3. If I play it and it has more bugs and crashes than TS3, I'll be highly disappointed but I'm not expecting that to be the case.

I'm more of a builder when it comes to the sims.... so I know with this new game I'm not going to have all the options and variety of things I had with the Sims 3... but that's because it's the base game. I don't agree that we are losing 80 different features.... We are gaining a brand new incarnation of the game. Do I want to wait for all the EP's and SP's that will have more of the things I want... no, but I will... Cause as a dedicated fan of the Sims franchise... that's what we do. The base game will allow me to really get familiar with how things work... and then as new stuff is added, I will change it up and build build build. We started over with Sims 2 and Sims 3. granted not as much screaming about it as there has been with this one.... but I'm hoping people will dive in and just enjoy. I know I will. and I'm looking forward to seeing screen shots and the excitement about it. :D

Eh I do agree with Simon on this one. The game is unfinished, but they can't do anything about it now.

Not at all, I am actually really excited. Personally I never been the biggest fan of the toddlers stage and hearing complaints about that non-stop kind of made me dislike toddlers even more. I am sure they will be back it, but I think the main core of the came is ready/finished.

I feel like for the most part, nothing is really missing. New game means new features and old features will be cut out or improved upon hopefully and added later. I can't say I am big fan of Sims 3, so far it is my least favorite. And some of the features listed weren't in the Sims 3 or even Sims 2 base game either but expansions or DLC or didn't come in until patched later. I am sure we will get patch updates, one of which will probably include toddlers as it isn't like they didn't planned not having them in the base game.

I personally can't wait for the game to come out!

I want toddlers and pools as much as the next person but that list of features that aren't making it is misleading. We lose content with each game that comes out. We gain content with each game that comes out, too. We've gained content with Sims 4, but some people don't like to see that. Store content is becoming base game content in sims 4. Cowplant, anyone?

    Not mad, just disappointed c:
I'm excited too, I was just asking if anyone NOT ME, was turned off by the game.

Oh and I just installed the game today. The only thing I truly miss is an open world (but bloody hell, good riddance to slow loading screens.) The game is great, but there are loading screens between worlds, neighbourhoods and individual lots. That's the only thing that's ticking me off haha. Good thing they only were about 30 to 60 seconds long.

The lighting is GREAT, the lack of terrain tools are a good thing as they let the developers make breath taking views, specifically in Oasis Springs imo. You can slide windows up and down walls and resize paintings! It made me tear up haha.

If you were like me and had doubts about buying, take those doubts away and look at this video if you need visual verification!

oooooo hello tehe I don't have the game yet since money is tight for me! I've seen early reviews and I've got to say they look pretty biased towards the negative aspects. I normally go through a whole process before buying a game. Read reviews, play a demo, watch a video, and maybe contemplate a quick pirate to just test out if the game is ok for further evaluation, please don't judge me about the pirating thing I only do it to see if the game is legit in my own opinion and if it works ok, I uninstall the game and then buy the real copy if I like it. So I will go through this process but probably will not do the last thing. But I hope this game isn't a huge disappointment or i'm taking it back to the store

    I'm afraid that's not possible...
Once you insert the activation key and connect to the official servers to confirm its authenticity, the hard copy itself will be rendered useless. There's no way to go back on it and the key will be of no use for anyone else. If you're a store clerk, what guarantee do you have that the person returning the game didn't kept the serial to themselves and will keep playing it, even after getting refunded?

Hard copies of games with activation keys are never easy to get a refund from.
