The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection is free on Origin!

You heard right, The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection is free on Origin! (for the time being?)

1. Get Origin. If you already have Origin you can skip to step 3.
   
2. Create a free Origin Account to get in the game.
3. Launch Origin and log in.
4. From the “Games” tab in the Origin menu, select ”Redeem Product Code” and enter the code: I-LOVE-THE-SIMS
5. Enjoy TS2 base game with all eight expansions and all ten stuff packs!

I am downloading it.. takes forever! lol I guess my connection stinks! I let it on for whole night long!

i downloaded it last night (now that i have my new hard drive installed) and wasn't able to play it. not sure if it's operator error (i was/am übersleepy) or not. i'll try again when i get home from work today. after a nap lol.

No need to re-download because you are not alone. Many people have that same error! Let's wait a bit until someone will answer on this thread or you can Google to find the solution if you want.

How funny that everyone is playing Sims 2 now? I'm still on 74% since last night. lol Lucky I backup my two favorite sims long time ago with their own makeup, eyes... I can't wait to play them again... I missed them so bad! I know they are ugly apes! hahahaha Hope our installation will go smooth and able to play once we finished downloading the game.

My sister used to play TS2 and said it was better than TS3 but now that it's free on Origin I literally jumped for joy!!

Omg! They are yours now! Maybe you won't like them cuz the sims aren't pretty but you need to download some skins, makeup and stuff but the best part that they are smudge free! And the children looks like both of their parents or a bit more like daddy/mommy. Really cool.

'Smudge free'? What does that mean? Haha.

Hahahaha! I dunno what to say... like Sims 3 do have odd makeup looking like... blurry mess. lol Sims 2 don't have that.

87% so far... so slow. Maybe in 2 hours then install time I think. *still waiting*

I don't think you have to install. Mine just started without installing after the download finished.

ok good. getting ready to leave work now so i can go home and see how the new hard drive is working. my son is able to play League of Legends without any issues so i'm very hopeful!
