EA and Maxis are thinking about re-releasing a digital copy of The Sims if The Sims 4 sells well. What do you think about this?

I think that Origin should release the Sims 1 and Sims 2 for free, along with the expansions. And make the Sims 3 $5.00, and the Sims 4 for $30.00 :)

Thankfully I still have a copy of every single EP. Whether they work or not is the question.

I've still got most of my games but they're incredibly hard to install to a stable level on my computer for some reason and it renders the game unplayable, I like having them but I would definitely buy them if they were a decent price.

Can I ask where you found this out? or are you just wanting to find out if people would buy?

I can't give up my source. If it did, it wouldn't benefit you or me either way. I can drop information and hints on the official forums but I am called a troll or someone always has something negative to say so I don't really bother. People would rather believe the wild conspiracy theories or the negatives instead of believing the simple truth to a situation. Also, most of the information people want doesn't pertain to selling the game. People want information to flame EA and I will not be providing that information to people.

SimGuruGraham may have the feeling that if he explains something he is helping more people and preventing some of the negativity out there but in my honest opinion, I think he is just hurting his image more. He uses his personal time to address the community and people make threats towards him. Unlike him, I don't have time for threats. Most people lack the reading comprehension to understand what he is saying and just twist his words out of proportion or just want to be negative and use what he has stated against him and EA.

The Sims games do not rule my life. I play many other games besides this one. The reason I am active on The Sims gaming communities the most is because this is the first gaming community I joined. I like talking to people about the game and sometimes I do get carried away and point out all the flaws of the game and EA on the internet but I really don't take it serious or something to be concerned about in my personal life.

In my personal life, I really don't bring up the game. I may ask questions to get clarification in retrospect and sometimes I am told things ahead of time. I don't go onto the internet and post everything I hear or see because for one, it doesn't benefit me, and for two, it isn't my job.

When I was online last night I thought I saw a banner ad for The Sims on another site. It piqued my interest but I was a little busy so I didn't click it. At first I thought it was odd...then I just figured I'd misread it. I've since checked that site again, but that particular ad is gone. After reading this, maybe I wasn't seeing things after all!

What SuperZino said. The Sims 1 reminds the introductory and nostalgic game to me. If not appearing on Origin, I hope GOG (http://www.gog.com) would be the next candidate/choice for The Sims: Complete Collection to be on. If on Origin, it'll definitely be a download.

Do hope either Origin and/or GOG will have The Sims: Complete Collection soon.

I still have /most/ of the EPs. I am probably missing a few. I still have Hot Date, Makin Magic, Unleashed?, and probably others somewhere.

I actually have the complete collection for the Sims but when I installed it, it work once but when I went to play it again, it wouldn't. So, if they fix that then yes I would because I really want to play it.

If I could download that onto my laptop I would. I've never played TS1 , and i'd like to play and make a comparison of 1 and 4.

If they released it for free like they did with the Sims 2, then I would definitely put it on the laptop to play around with, but I wouldn't buy it. As much as I loved it as a kid, I just don't think I could pay to go back that far. Sims 2 and up have just spoiled me with too many options and added elements.

I've never played it either, but I don't know if I'd want to play it... because I'm all about graphics and TS1 graphics are...

    Edit:
Just found out they had a free giveaway for TS2... I'm so upset I didn't know about it and it ended July 31... I HATE MYSELF.
