I don't think there is any fear from the "negative nellies" here. This seems like a well moderated place, so there is no way they would get away with the stuff they pull over there.

Hey there, i'm kinda a refugee of the now "Read Only", Sims 3 / 4 forums now if thats what EA is trying to do with it.
I've got to say The Offical Sims 3 forums can be rather "insane", to say the least, well heres to hoping that atleast here will be more calm.. Cheers!

The official TS3 forum is actually pretty mild compared to what goes on at the mobile EA forum. That forum is insane with some really bad trolls. It's why I kind of didn't care one way or the other about the negativity. I just skimmed over it and kept looking for stuff that interested me. It was hard though because EA is so closed mouth, it's all speculation and rumors.

ETA: I've pre-ordered the game through Amazon, guess that makes me a sheep? Good, cause I like sheep. They are so cute and fluffy!

It's one thing to be annoyed and expressing an opinion that differs from someone else's, but it's another to be outright hateful, insulting, and mean. Which is what has been happening over and over on the officials. I don't have a problem with "hating" the game, heck one of my very good friends absolutely detests what he sees of the game, but still he is respectful of my opinion and me of his. If you look at the officials at any given time, and go into almost any given thread, and you will find, those buying the game being called stupid, ignorant, sheep, blindingly dumb...etc.... Not to mention the absolute twisting of every single fact that comes out. Call them on the so-called facts and "BAM" your a troll. No intelligent discussion or debating whatsoever.
I have seen some of the nicest simmers to ever grace the officials, ie; Miss Evalen and Catloverplayer being berated at any given time and I find it apalling. I am glad to have this place, where there is moderation. I don't mind the negative opinions, I love a great debate, what I do mind is the outright viciousness some seem to give.

That pretty much sums it up right there. Thanks for this. You can't saying anything on the officials without what you described happening. It's happened to me a few times., very disheartening.

My understanding is that jobs are off screen, of course, but you will be required to do on-screen things to get a promotion. Your job performance will affect your promotion, naturally, but you'll have additional activities if you want to move your sim up the job ladder (for instance, a comedian will have to write jokes; a writer will have to overcome writer's block once, etc.). I definitely think expansions will add a lot of new jobs and careers.

They are, aren't they? And they don't have to be slaughtered so often as other farm animals.

I take it you're a fellow Loki fan? Comics or movies?

Actually......I went through "that phase" in high school where I wanted to be a witch and Pagan so I could curse those I didn't like. So I was very into mythology and various religions. Loki - the Native American Trickster God - is one of my favorites. Although I have outgrown that phase now that I'm edumacated and a mommy, I still am very fascinatd by religions. I often try and create the various pantheons in my Sims and play them out. It's so much fun and creates a ton of drama since none of them ever got along. My absolute favorites are the Egyptians and Mayans....lol....how's that for an answer? My kid told me that I should just tell people that I'm an Avengers fan.

Hey everyone! Now I admit, I have shifted from the neutral side to the "negative" side (which I personally don't like the term because I personally dislike the game but I still 100% fully respect people's opinions and I wont be a negative nancy only time I'm a grump is when my sims burn their waffles (yeah most of the time <_< >_>). But anyway, I really like this forum so far and there are some things I like about the Sims 4. The official forums are vicious and this forum seems well moderated and people seem really nice, caring and respectful unlike the original forums. Also, I forgot to mention that I guess I'm a refugee so yeah! (I apologize for my wording and grammatical mistakes, its just cause I'm super excited!)
