That is cute. :) I guess I want passing close enough attention when I watched it earlier.

Not upset about the game just a little disappointed that some of the things won't be in the base game but I'm optimistic to the idea that toddlers will return since it was mentioned at some point after they revealed no Toddlers by Graham that there is the possibility of pre-teens being added to the game as well. I can play the game even with the features removed and all of the simmers that went to Sim Camp are happy with it which makes me think you know it might be worth what I paid for. Plus they're adding terrain tools or something like that to the final build since that's what Creators Camp decided should be added to the game. All in all, I like the game because it's something NEW and different than what we've seen. Adding on to that, it would be nice to see my favorite families in a different view than what they've been seen in as the past especially with the Goth family reunited again :D

I'm not too upset about some of the stuff that's missing like toddlers and pools - providing they add them later on whether in an EP or patch or whatever. What I am a little disappointed with is the lack of normal/traditional career routes. I said it over in the official Sims 3 forum as well that I really don't see a point in giving my sims the active/athletic trait if I can't actually use it for anything (used to always send my sims down the pro-sports star career route lol).

However, in saying that, I do like some of the new career options available. Looking forward to finally getting some use out of the mixology skill that I love so much in Sims 3, but does next to nothing other than look cool because most of the nightclubs/dance clubs/bars are kind of empty whenever I went moonlighting as a mixologist :(

Is it true that there isn't a brave trait? Or daredevil?

So....ummm....our Sims are going to stand around dancing like fools instead of running away from the fire?

Not happy at all about that, I don't like killing my Sims. I get attached to them and really get annoyed at how this game likes to try to kill them off.

Leave my Sims alone, game! They ain't never done nothing to you! (lol)

Moar adult humour, this is why we need a woohoo skill and sims getting drunk.
I don't think it really makes the game any higher a rating; at the moment I'd consider the game 7+ from what I've seen.

Even after than, Mixology skill is something I need so badly. Mixology career is just what I need right now - leaving room for a business EP when I make make a cake shop.

I'm not sure you won't get to use the athletic skill--I would guess that the astronaut career will require some physical skills and since there are more goals to meet to get a promotion, I would bet that at least one or two of the careers will require you improve your athletic skill to get to the next level of your career.

I'm not sure we've seen all of the traits available in CAS yet--I was under the impression that the demo didn't have all of them but maybe someone poked in the files and found info on all of them?

My understandings is that the clothing and hairstyles, etc. were samples. However, I do know that not all traits are in CAS because you have to acquire some in gameplay.

Ah, yeah, I'm pretty sure you'll probably need the athletic skill for certain jobs to get promotions and what not, just like you needed the athletic skill for several jobs in the Sims 3. I guess I'm just kind of sad that there's no one job that practically screams "athletic skills/athletic trait!" in the Sims 4. I'm going to miss making my sims sports stars who go and play gamse at stadiums and hang out with their team-mates, etc. more than anything else is all :shy:

Still, I'm fine with the careers they have on offer and I wouldn't be surprised if the more "normal/traditional" careers showed up at a later date.

    What career is this?

According to Honeywell, it's listed as Scientist at the Sim Fans.de site. I think that might be a Google Translate problem. So what career? I'm grasping at straws that somehow the campers didn't see all the careers.

This is more of a semantic thing but... I feel like this thread is a trap-nest for negativism and hatred. Instead of saying "things we're unhappy about" why not ask "things that need to improved"? It sounds less "derogatory" IMO. Also, we need to take into consideration that the things we dislike might be something someone else enjoys, and sensitive people might take your opinion as a direct assault on what they believe (which is silly IMO but it happens too often to be ignored).

I would avoid making direct comments (specially negative ones) on what other people like or dislike, to avoid this very issue. Doesn't matter if its childish, immature, silly, immersion-breaking etc. They have their opinion and you have yours but if you reply to them directly, you're making this personal and you're basically asking for them to reply and counter-argument what you just said. I know its hard to resist the temptation of throwing in our argument, just so we can feel better about ourselves, but keep in mind that you may or may not be poking a wasp's nest with that attitude... just sayin'.

    On-topic:

As for the things I wish to be improved... for the time being I'd say that the colors in CAS need to be tweaked a little bit. Some colors don't actually match the preview (whites aren't actually white but blue-ish grey, purples being pink, etc). My second suggestion would be to tweak the make-up (specially the eye-shadow) for darker skinned Sims. It just doesn't look right IMO like it gets all blended together.

    Scientist?
Strange, that jacket is very chef like in appearance But the stuff behind him suggests criminal mastermind (and his gesture).

@Biotic_Warlock DRATS! So, he's probably a criminal boss? All he needs is a mini-me and he could be Dr. Evil. I wonder why they labeled it scientist at Honeywell? I hope we actually get to have a criminal lair like this. Not possible, right? Since they disappear off-screen. I want this lair!

You're not wrong in your assumption, its just that the traits we get while creating our Sim are only a portion of the traits that are actually in-game. The others are unlocked doing stuff in the game, like achievements or maybe aspiration/whim points(?).

I know we get extra traits through gameplay, I was under the impression that there might be more added to CAS for us to choose since there are apparently quite a few things missing from CAS (hairstyles, clothing, etc.).

You're right, the demo was just a sample.

Wait, so we're certain that we're going to get more hairstyles, traits AND clothes when the full game releases, or what we see now is what we get? If so, that would be awesome!
