this whole worlds being small thing shouldn't be much of a bother. I personally like how small they are, in the sims 3 the worlds were big, but think about it, many empty homes, rabbit holes, unpopulated public spaces, and all lots were all seperated thus making it look pretty big. I don't think this whole worlds thing is a step backwards. If anything, when the expansions including the worlds come out the worlds won't feel so confined because sims can move between worlds easily without losing process. i understand that people aren't used to the small world concept but I'm sure we can all get used to it once playing in between the worlds

WHY YOU SHOULD BUY THE SIMS 4
    Graham Nardone

There are tons of lists out there compiling missing or removed features from The Sims 4. The lists are so long and detailed many are wondering what’s actually in the game and why they should buy at all. Graham Nardone attempts to answer that question at Mod The Sims and in the process pisses off fans — inadvertently I’m sure — by dismissing our complaints and concerns over the missing features as “minutia of differences”.

Here are a few examples of those lists if you’ve somehow missed them:

The bottom line for Graham? The Sims 4 is fun to play. Here’s the full post:

Inge Jones: Please, Graham, tell us what is the reason to upgrade from any earlier Sims game (other than maybe TS1) to this one?

"I know you’ve already heard and read the official "pitch" from numerous places, so instead I’ll offer this… Four main entries into the franchise and it becomes more of a challenge to explain the nuances of what’s different from one to the next. For example, we say something along the line of, "hey, these new emotions Sims have are pretty rad", and people counter with, "but my Sims have always had emotions". Well… ok, maybe we did a convincing job selling that fiction in previous games, but truly your Sims haven’t had anything like this before. But the conversation then changes into discussing what is or isn’t there and the minutiae of differences in each feature along some scale because the easiest way to try and understand something new is to compare and contrast it to what came before. Looking at a list of features on paper may tell you what you can expect to find in the game, but it doesn’t tell you if it’s fun to play. That said, if there’s something that’s not in the game at launch and that’s a deal breaker for you then I understand and respect your decision, and I hope you’ll give the game another look down the line.

What encourages me is speaking with players after they’ve had some hands on time with the game to wrap their head around those differences and better understand what it brings to the overall experience. I wasn’t involved in any official way in the Creator’s Camp, but I poked my head in a few times to get a general sense of how things were going, and I came away with the impression that a lot of the talking points we’ve used to discuss what this game is were being validated and appreciated after people had time to play. I personally find myself enjoying the deep socialization between Sims and the enhanced sense of an intimate community of neighbors and friends. Those were aspects of The Sims 3 that never particularly resonated with me, so in a number of ways The Sims 4 evolved my Sims experience to offer something more than just a five year leap in technology.” —Graham Nardone

Personally, I expect more and I won’t pay premium prices for less — not when what little is included isn’t anything I play a Sims game for in the first place. Less customization, over the top emotions, quests and goal oriented gameplay just aren’t that interesting to me.

I hope they take a look at our lists of “minutia” and move The Sims 4 in that direction, but if not, there’s always The Sims 5. I’m still a fan.

The Sims 4: Unlockable “Park-like” Lots Confirmed
    simsvip:

In a recent preview by Game Revolution, they mentioned that Sims could also unlock places like “Crick Cabana”and the “Forgotten Grotto” by performing certain actions in game. To help clarify, I asked SimGuruGraham:

From Game Revolution: “Additionally, Sims are no longer locked into a single neighborhood either, allowing them to live in one neighborhood but attend work in another. So far, only Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have been revealed, but Sims can also travel to Crick Cabana after viewing a special looking tree multiple times and can unlock the Forgotten Grotto by breaking open a sealed Mine Shaft in the Desert Bloom Park with Level 10 Handiness. Strangely, the loss of the open-world design has made the travel options far more expansive.”

@SimsVIP They’re what I was alluding to in your E3 interview about how what you think of as a (cont) http://t.co/vMimDMdtzB

They’re what I was alluding to in your E3 interview about how what you think of as a “rabbithole” can work completely differently now. It gives us the flexibility to do many cool things that wouldn’t have been possible in Sims 3. I was wondering if anyone at Creator’s Camp would find them I’ll leave details about discovering and exploring them for players to share though.
From our E3 Interview: Now, as for rabbit holes, we don’t have rabbit holes in the traditional sense any more. If you’re going off to your job for the day, you’re going to walk off the edge of the neighborhood and the’ll come back later that night. We do have some other stuff, kind of related to that, I don’t wanna get into it yet, it’s a big surprise, it’s going to be super cool, so we’ll touch on that at a later point, but there’s some really exciting stuff to look forward to there with how we’re handling it.

@SimsVIP They’re similar to the park.

That video was kind of funny in a way. The way it was produced seemed like some kind of conspiracy-theorist talking on National Geographic.
Anyways, if mobile and pc versions were able to play on the same server, how would the mobile version render the pc players custom content? Seems like a lot of work.
If there is a mobile or online version of the Sims 4, It'd be more realistic for it to be completely separate from the PC version.

just thinking about the whole list of missing toddlers and what not. Who...the heck....cares? Not to the people who are excited about the game, to the people who have nothing but bs to spit about missing features. EA producers never said that the features taken out will never come back in The Sims 4, they just aren't included in the base game at the moment. There is such thing as A)patch B)Update C)Store Content and D)Expansion pack. So why make a big fuss, they act like everything and a nickle needs to be in the base game, but if everything was included then what would there be a reasons to get an expansion pack for? There is a petition to delay the game with only 700 signatures. I don't think a game would be delayed with less than 3 weeks until release

The English Simmer did say that there would be a few hiccups possibly because the game is still in the making. Hopefully they'll be fixed by release day..
