6:15 am AEST August 12... No Demo....

I'll be disappointed if it doesn't come out on the 12th, but really I'll just be disappointed in EA. Why do they have to be vague...."later in the summer"?!? I know they don't want to make promises they can't keep, but still. We should get a date or everyone should of gotten it in the first place. I don't think we should blame SimsVIP because they were just trying to figure it out and get us excited.

@casie0simlover I completely agree that SimsVIP should NOT be blamed for spreading a rumor, however, you know people will blame her because they think she's got some sort of "in". That's all I'm saying. It's late and I'm not being very clear. My apologies.

My guess is that they didn't give an official release date because they are still monitoring server loads. That's most likely why they have been gradually adding more players. They don't want their servers to be overloaded like the Simcity launch and are trying to figure out if the resources at their disposal are enough.

Oh I definitely agree with what your are saying and don't think you meant any harm by what you said People will blame her, but I just don't think it should happen since she post so much good info for us.

Remember that it was WE (the players) who came up with the rumor that demo was going to release on August 12th, based on a date that came in a notepad file. It may or may not happen so hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

9:15 PM of August 11th here! Remember, I think they're leaning more on American time-zones than any other time-zone, haha.

I just hate how people who haven't even been playing the Sims a long time get it when people who have been playing it since the first one came out don't have it.

Like all the celebrities that got codes during the teen choice awards this past weekend? That was pretty saddening.

i started playing the sims since i was less then 10 years old n just because they broadcast it on YOUTUBE they get the chance to get it(thats not cool but all i can say is that what they are doing sooner or later they will loose fans)im just saying.......

I got the demo by signing up that request form on thesims.com about a month ago. Has anyone already requested and still not yet received it ?
