i did not realize that the presets actually offered different texture brushes. Hmm =/ well this opens up a lot of new doors for me. hmm...*spends the next 4 hours in CAS*

Between the CAS demo and my current legacy, I'm going to have a very full afternoon off tomorrow. I feel like I should go and look at all the presets now. I noticed that one or two of the eyes don't have the same lashes.

I could totally use girls too! I plan on switching to different main sims to keep myself interested in the story (and hopefully finish a baby challenge finally). So I'm hoping to have a guy take over some time. And maybe I'll play around with a same sex pregnancy mod when someone makes one again.

I decided to create the first 8 of Marvel's original New Mutants. I'll try to keep the descriptions to non superhero stuff, but that won't always be possible. The New Mutants are a group of teens brought together by Charles Xavier. They were never supposed to be superheroes, but that didn't stop them form getting into all kinds of trouble. (Note that I couldn't include the 9th member, Warlock, both because of the group size limit, and because, even with custom content it, it would be difficult to create the alien member of the team.)



From left to right we have:

Sam Guthrie is a country boy form Kentucky with a heart of gold. The consummate big brother (he's the oldest of 8 kids), he was co-leader of the group. He and Roberto quickly became best friends, despite their differences, and he had a , thankfully brief, fling with Dani after they became adults. That was probably the only romantic relationship Sam's been in that wasn't long term. Currently, Sam is a member of the Avengers.


Roberto DaCosta is a rich kid from Brazil, who loves soccer and Magnum PI in equal measures. He also loves the finer things in life and currently that includes Amara Aquilla, though their relationship status is kind of up in the air right now. A real firecracker, Roberto loves adventure, but also has pretty good head for business. 'Berto is now a member of the Avengers along with his best friend, Sam.




Xi'an Coy Manh, called Shan by her friends, is a refugee from Vietnam. The oldest of the New Mutants by a few years, she's always stood a bit apart, partly because she lived off campus with her younger siblings, twins Leong and Nga. Never enamoured with the superhero life, Shan is happiest working as a librarian. This hasn't stopped her from seeing combat on occasion, and unfortunately, during one of those instances she lost a leg. Shan is currently unattached, but would happily settle down if the right woman came along.


Scottish born Rahne Sinclair is the youngest member of the team. Raised by a strict Presbyterian minister, it took a long time for Rahne to come out of her shell. Having the much bolder Dani Moonstar as a best friend helped a lot, but it wasn't until she was an adult that she really became her own person. Rahne almost always has a crush on somebody, and in childhood the most notable object of her affection was Doug Ramsey, although the two haven't seen much of each other as adults. Rahne fell in love with the Asgardian Hrimhari, and the two had a child. Sadly, both lover and child were killed in separate incidences. Rahne is currently retired from the superhero life and studying to become a deacon.


The mysterious Illyana Rasputin had the most tragic childhood of all the New Mutants. Kidnapped by demons at a young age, she has never completely overcome their evil taint, although she keeps trying for the sake of her brother and her best friend. (The X-men's Colossus and Shadowcat, respectively.) That taint often brought her into conflict with the deeply religious Rahne. For all her darkness, Illyana does have a fun side, and is usually the first to encourage the rest of the Muties to party. She's currently a member of the X-Men. (Perhaps I shouldn't have made her Aspiration "Friend to the World", but I think it is what she wants deep down.)



Amara Aquilla was, get this, born and raised in a lost Roman colony. A bit of a fish out of water, she's nevertheless highly intelligent, and adapts to situations fairly quickly. Ever elegant, Amara has been in a number of romantic relationships, mostly with men who are bad for her. (Seriously Amy? The Devil?) Last seen she was in a romantic relationship with Roberto, but her current whereabouts are unknown.

Cheyenne Dani Moonstar didn't want to attend Xavier's, but she quickly found herself not only at home, but co-leader of the team. She also found a best friend in Rahne Sinclair. Of all the New Mutants, Dani always seemed the most comfortable in the superhero roll, but it's certainly not the only roll she's played. She's been an undercover agent, a teacher, an Asgardian Valkyrie, and leader of a contingent of X-Men made up mostly of former New Mutants. Dani is tough as nails and all business, which may be why none of her romantic relationships ever seem to work out. Currently, Dani is working with the Fearless Defenders as Hel's Valkirie.


Doug Ramesy is a young computer genius who didn't even know he was a mutant, with an ability to understand any language, until the New Mutants needed him to talk to an alien. (That alien, Warlock, is still Doug's best friend.) Despite his lack of offensive or defensive powers, Doug is a true hero, willing to give his life, if necessary. Doug has had a number of crushes on women, including a mutual crush on Rahne, but has never been in a romantic relationship. He (and Warlock) are currently members of X-Factor.
