I always had the same problem when I was playing the sims 3. Always got bored way to quickly after creating my sims. But I have made these 4 guys with the sims 4 CAS demo (http://sims4forum.com/threads/the-handsome-lads-who-is-your-favorite.1114/) and I started making a story about them and their personallities, now I am caught up with them, gehehe! I guess when you make a story about the sim you won't get bored that quickly (I hope..). I usually don't even play with big households or even guy sims. I always started with one female sim.

ps: sorry if my english sucks. :giggle:

I'm actually thinking about starting a Legacy Challenge while I wait for Sims 4. I think it will tide me over until Sims 4 comes out and I can buy it. I know people make stories with Legacies and stuff, from reading today, so I think it could be fun. Maybe that's something other people can look into while they wait. ^^

I always have this happen to me! I'll spend ages creating a family, but once I'm in the game, my enthusiasm kind of fizzles out! I've uninstalled my Sims 3 games now, and just waiting for the Sims 4.

I'm hoping the emotions and variety of looks you can give your sims will keep me interested. The fact most of my sims ended up looking the same in TS3 was annoying. (Or just the fact I have terrible CAS skills!)

I don't think I've ever had this problem , my TS3 problem is that it crashes while i'm in CAS.

Mostly I end up making my Sims lives miserable.

I went back to playing Sims 3 for a while a couple of weeks ago, but after watching Sims 4 gameplay, the Sims in Sims 3 are just so lifeless. I'd even bought a bit more store content to while away the rest of summer, and now I can't seem to be bothered. I just go check Origin for the CAS demo instead. :bored:

I think the problem with TS3 is that everything is just so slow; want to change clothes, that's bad gonna miss your ride, want to change colors or textures: f*** you player. I have a good computer that can run heavier games but it just doesn't want to get along with TS3.

I do the exact same thing. I get bored and then start having my sim get married, have kids, etc. and I basically ruin everything and start over lol. I guess I've just been playing it for too many years and there really aren't that many things to do. I just grabbed a copy of SimCity on sale after playing the trial and I'm having some fun with that. Normally I wouldn't have bothered but I needed something new to keep me entertained until Sims 4 and Destiny come out :)

Oh man, goodness knows how often I end up creating a new sim, plonking her/him down into one of the worlds (usually Bridgeport because I freaking love that place), and then I play for maybe thirty minutes and get bored lol. It took me a long time to get attached to any of the sims I created. Right now, I'm currently loving the sister and brother twin witches I created, but the reason I even got into them was because I was bored of them and decided to let them to do whatever the heck they wanted over in Bridgeport just for laughs. The older sister autonomously flirted, skinny-dipped and made out with one of the celebrities at a night club (the married, then human, Richie Striker), while her younger brother zoned in on Beau Merrick while he was evil dancing lol. It was a nice twist because I don't usually play sims that wreck families or go for "evil" sims XD Then I let story progression run for a bit and before I knew it, when I had my female sim persuade Richie to split with his wife and pair up with her instead, I find out Richie is somehow a werewolf.....

Yeah, so right now I'm amusing myself with the random set up of twin witches and their supernatural partners. But again, it took me so long to even get interested and stick with one household. I envy the simmers who can create a household and do legacy challenges with them for several generations x__x

I managed to play a family for three generations, which for me was pretty good! :p
I have no idea why I liked them so much. I've removed Sims 3 from my laptop now, but I may attempt to recreate them in The Sims 4. I still have screenshots saved to use and work from in CAS.

I don't think I've played a family past one generation. I want to do it at least once! I downloaded a bunch of stuff today, so hopefully my game doesn't epic crash and I can try the stuff out. :p

I'm the opposite. I don't play legacies exactly, but I've stayed with families for at least 6+ generations. I mean, they branch off so much, cousins, kids, etc that I can always find someone who tickles my fancy.

That does sound like fun. I just find it so hard to stick with something for some reason. I get this "all or nothing" mentality that I hate! I get stuck on doing it a certain way and sucking all the fun out of the game. I really just want to relax and go with the flow. :p It's just kinda hard for some reason. XD
