Trouble with hotkeys & speed of time with them.

Hey, I'm having trouble with the hotkeys sometimes. If I try to pause the game with the 0 or speed up the game (numeric pad or normal) it doesn't always work. I've had to save the game & exit & run it again. Is it just a glitch? Has anyone else had this problem? Also the speed of them is slow. Normally on 3 it speeds by real fast but now it's not. & another thing, I hired a recurring maid (daily) & she no longer turns up) another glitch maybe?

Does going to the menu (where options, patch notes, save, etc is) and back into game help? I've had a similar issue of them sometimes not working when I enter game, and that always works for me.

If your referring to the hotkeys, I've never tried going to the menu, I've always just saved & exited the ame (this isn't the first time it's happened.)

Sorry I didn't clarify. Yes I mean the hotkeys, at least the ones for speed. The other ones seem to work fine otherwise.

Also, on your maid issue, I read on EA's forums there's been a lot of glitches with them. I too have an issue where mine doesn't show up after the first time, but continuously charges me money for work they didn't appear to do. I think of that issue we'll just have to wait for a patch.

Jeriel, do you know the cheat for accessing the full CaS mode? Been trying to find it, need to change my Sims last name (they are married & it didn't change)

Hellooo I've been having troubles with the hotkeys too, what I found works is that I type the cheat 'testingcheats on' and then when I use the hotkeys to change the time, 1 2 and 3 on the keyboard work, if I don't, then I have to click it manually.. strange, but at least there's a way to make it work. And sometimes when it's on speed 3 it isn't as fast as it should be either, I just put it to speed 2 and then 3 and it works normally again.

Yeah, it's testingcheats on and then cas.fulleditmode, then shift click a sim and modify in cas. I recommend you wait until they fix the marriage/last name bug, though, because when you edit sims with cas.fulleditmode it can cause relationships to be messed up. The most common, and one I suffer, is the children of your sims thinking you're their sibling instead of parent, and vice versa.
