Will Sims "Move Time" be any faster than it was before?

By move time I don't mean walking or driving or any of that, but you know when you que up some actions for your sim and it ends up taking 3 hours to wash their plate and then get outside to goto work? Is there any news on that being more "Steamlined" or maybe even time moving slightly slower in comparison to sim actions? Or is it going to be a similar system than Sims 3? Sometimes its a bit frustrating when my sim yells at me because theres a chair in the way.

I don't think so I was surprised they added a fourth speed to sims 3.

Dang. Im hoping (and kind of assuming) that there will be some minor fixes in at least how fast sims respond to commands though. After a while you get used to it I suppose, so no biggie.

I do not see them speeding up the time to do certain actions. Well they may a bit. But here is the thing though. People do want want their days too long and people do not want the actions to be super quck where they cannot see them happening. Like on 4x speed, washing hands or flushing the stool, it is already fast but we can still see it and stuff. If it takes less time to do that stuff, then on Sims 4, we may not even see them do certain things and there may be some complaints.

Well, in the sims 4, sims will actually perform tasks more quickly and more easily than in the sims 3. The new smartsim added to the game allows players to multitask and is said to ameliorate the routing . So sims wont yell at you anymore because they will always find a way to go through obstacles

Maybe they won't stall out anymore.

They have confirmed that if you build a path for a sim it will take the path rather than any other random route the sim chooses. I am absolutely stoked for that.

I was wondering about this just yesterday! My sim was trying to go somewhere and two NPCs were standing in the doorway chatting and blocking his path. He tapped his toe for awhile then just gave up and started to walk away. I had my sim distract the chatters so they'd unblock the door; the whole thing took about 4 me minutes but about an hour in sim minutes! Poor time deprived sims!

hopefully, there will be fewer quirks, too! i had one building in Bridgeport that i had a weird path. if i told my sim to go home, she'd go to the little fenced-in garden area out front and just stand there. i'd have to manually click the elevator for her go to her apartment. i tried locking the gate but that made her angry and all of the plants died lol. i eventually got so tired of it that i made her move!
