Fan Sites Invited to The Sims 4 Developers Event

Sim Times just tweeted about an invitation they received from Electronic Arts to an event where they’ll be able to try the full game — including live mode — and talk with the developers about The Sims 4. The event is scheduled for July 1st.

As we learn more I’ll be sure to update this post.

We were supposed to attend an even in July as well, but Ea Italy just told us that it has been cancelled —Daniela

Such short notice is really inexcusable and a cause for concern at the same time. What’s wrong with the game that it can’t be played, first at E3 and now at an event scheduled two months before The Sims 4 is due to launch?

Update #3: More details about the events have been shared and it seems likely that all of the developer events have been canceled.

The Italian event, which was scheduled for July 7th, attendee SimsCri were contacted and told the event “has been cancelled throughout Europe, not just delayed.”

We also learn that the German event has “been delayed without further date" which doesn’t sound promising in light of what EA Italy has told its fans. But, of course, I’ll post if we hear differently.

So what I have read so far is that there will be breast feed. Also there will be no clothing stores, all clothes will be available to the sims.
Laundry could possibly be in the base game. Public places is not editable but community lots are. Kids get to create art too, " their best creation is macaroni art".

• Sims in your social group have a white PlumbBob:
• Pregnancy lasts a “few days”.
• Teen represents a 13-16 year old approximately. Adults are in their mid 20s.
• There will be no turn ons/ turn offs like in TS2
• There is a list of Sims to choose from when adopting.
• WooHoo skill is no longer in the game.
• There may be some new skills we did not see in The Sims 3.
• Culinary career is confirmed
• Gardening - herbs, vegetables, fruits, and flowers! You can get seeds sent via mail through various methods including ordering them. Seeds have different qualities, just like in TS3.
• Sims may become fatigued if they exercise for too long without breaks
• Sims in happy moods sing in the shower.
• There will be 6 moods: Bladder, Hunger, Energy, Fun, Social, Hygiene. Others are subtly integrated into the system.
• SimGuruGrant may be at Gamescom, which suggests The Sims 4 may be at Gamescom
• The game tutorial is done with Sims that you create, not pre-made sims
• Sims cannot buy different cell phones

The Sims 4: Multiple Worlds Confirmed For Base?
In a video interview from Shacknews at E3, SimGuruAzure tells reporters that “Each world contains 5 different neighborhoods”. Since there’s been so much conflicting information of late, I tweeted Graham to see if I can get a solid answer on multiple worlds for the base game. Let’s hope for a response.

There have been a few indications that we are getting multiple worlds in the game, and here’s a few to note:
• Desert-like world in recently discovered game footage

• Desert-like world in PC Gamer’s Sims 4 Preview

• Digital Spy’s 2013 Preview mentions “3 different environments” for the game.
