failure start game

smis 4 works when i am in cas and build modes but after moving my sim into his home and clicking on it to start, an error message will pop up. something about failure to load the game. and then there's a long error code. it also prompts me to restart the game. but no matter how many times i do restart, this problem continues to occur. any idea what's going on? i just barely bought this game yesterday and reformatted my laptop prior to installing sims4.

the game failed to load. error code: 102:11189531781522641194:17578490954109364232.
it is recommended that you relaunch the game.

I had this happen to me, I'm not sure if it's the same error code but it was a pain.
It would close off my game everytime I tried to enter my household.

I think it was the CC hair I had put on my woman.
When I had deleted that specific CC item it loaded up with no problems at all (except she was bald lol)

my game is brand spanking new. i haven't downloaded anything on to it yet. here's the error message.

i still haven't found a solution for my problem yet but atleast now i know i'm not alone in dealing with it. i was on the ea games site earlier and discovered that lots of folks are having the exact same issue as i am, regardless of computer specs. over there, i believe it's referred to as an error 102? a lot of the posters were saying that they felt the newest patch on 9/9 is what caused the failure to launch error. but i have no idea what's going on. i spent $60 on a game that i can't even play. pretty sad. hopefully there's a patch.
