Gallery Explained!

So in order to use the Gallery, right now you get to it from CAS. I don't know if it will be implemented into the website or not. From videos I have seen, you can access it at any time during game play, too.

So you click "Open the Gallery" and it pops up:


And then it looks like this:

And you can see your own creations under "My Library", or click "Community"...


Notice you can search- you can search by date added, amount of favorites, or under advanced, how many sims are in a household... in the upper right corner you can search by Origin user, key words, etc.

And then you click on what you want, and you can "Merge" them into your current CAS/Household, or "Replace" and it will overwrite the current sim(s)...So let's see.... I'll take....

I am really confused about which ID I am going to end up with in TS4. I created my TS3 ID in 2009 when the base game was released and I registered and signed up with the TS3 forum. Later for other purposes and other games I had an EA account ID which is the same as the one I use here. When they finally created Origin and I installed Origin for the first time Origin used my EA account ID as my Origin ID. So my TS3 ID is different from my Origin ID. The Gallery is currently using my Origin ID. Most people from the TS3 forums know me as Sincerbox. Very few know me as Barbara917 which who I want to be.

I think it's possible to merge both accounts, I think I have done it in the past. But I'm sorry I don't remember how I did it.

You can merge them but idk how. If not under origin preferences then I would call.

They are merged. All the content I own as TS3 Sincerbox is owned by Origin: Barbara917 (all same registration codes used.) Both accounts use the same email. Origin account information shows at the bottom my game specific identity The Sims - Sincerbox. But to the outside world there is no way for TS3 forum people to know that Origin Barbara917 is TS3 Sincerbox. I tried two years ago to get Sincerbox changed to Barbara917 to no avail.

Now with the announcement of the forum upgrade it left people scratching their heads whether TS3 and TS4 would have separate forums or be bundled under one The Sims forum. Since I have had an opportunity to play the demo I discover that The Gallery uses the Origin ID. Logical since it is getting launched by Origin which is the online portal. I am wondering what TS4 ID I will end up with on the TS4 forum. This is all about transparency for me. I want to have one identity everywhere. At the worst two identities can appear deceptive. As a matter of convenience there is no obvious link to outsiders that the two identities are one and the same.

Which? The TS3 user name? I tried 2 years ago. Went through EA customer service. They came back with you can't do it.

i ALWAYS forget Graham's name. We complete each other's minds.

I always get Graham's and Grant's names confused. Not because they're so similar or anything, it's just that my brain never seems to remember seeing beyond the first three letters of the name so when I'm trying to remember who posted what tweet, I frequently get them mixed up.

All the games I have in my Origin library are connected to my Origin ID, so, for instance, when I sign in on TS3 or Mass Effect, I use my Origin ID to access online stuff. I would guess it will be the same for TS4.
