You know what seems funny? Every new Sim game seems to raise the price up an extra $40. Fuck that! (Excuse my language and sorry) If they are going to release a full price game for this much money than it should have every single feature. The Sims 4 costs nearly $80, seriously EA? You wont make any money because lots of people including teens can't afford games like that, especially the Sims. Plus if the expansion packs cost this much than only rich people can afford it! EA I know that games make lots of time and effort and MONEY to make, but this is a price for a full game, not something that won't get free DLC. So listen EA stop being greedy and make the Sims 4 along with expansion packs $30.00. Because you know what EA, the Sims series is a game that teens play, and we don't have jobs. Guys let me know what you think. Again sorry for cursing.

I can't judge the price in US as I'm from UK but I feel £40 isn't that much considering the prices of pother games these days, this isn't expensive (to me anyway) at all. Anyway it depends on the version you buy, if you're getting more content the games going to cost more. That's just how it is D:

Also $5 for an expansion pack? Are you crazy! I'd feel bad for EA paying that much, I would say £25 is a reasonable price for EP's but I'm willing to pay £30.

Don't worry I was just kidding about the $5. I'm not that crazy lol. But I think the game and expansion packs should cost $30 because $60 dollars is way too much, which is why I'm buying the standard edition. :)

Yeah, The Sims 4 is high. But then the base price of all pc games it seems like went up from that regular $50 to $60. It used to be an apparent price difference between pc and console games, but not anymore. The thing is TS4 is less intensive than most of these pc games and tbh I doubt it has a big budget like Assassin's Creed, The Witcher, and other huge games that are graphic intensive, open world, voice actors, and all that.

But yeah I am not too happy about paying $60 for it...yeah I wish it was open world and stuff, but at the same time, I am a huge Sims fan...one of my favorite games ever. I just can't give up on it before I get it, so I gotta try it.

Maybe if all those features that were not included were in game i would give even 80$ for it, but with the current content i think it should be cheaper. But well, i canot expect less from an AAA game of one of the main franchises of a big gaming company that is about to be released, when it comes to the cost, and EA is not the only company that do this, not the only that put a higher price for a game with less content either, at least the few (New ?) content in TS4 seens to be good enough to me consider to buy it.

The problem is when the game has less and cost more. I am willing to pay if the sims are really intersting, but others are not, I would prefer that the game did cost a lot, but also had a lot of good content as well.

$80 is only for the version with all the bonus stuff like the book, soundtrack, etc....(the Premium Edition, the one I ordered). There is the $50-60 dollar version which yeah is pricey, but no more than most new games that are just released.

Yeah, I feel it is a tad bit pricey. But hey, I've been addicted since The Sims 1, I've probably seen the good, bad and ugly, yet I can still pick up and enjoy it under those circumstances.

I also don't agree with the price for how gimped of a Sims version this is compared to its predecessors, but I'll bite if it means they'll attend to some of the fans' critical desires (toddlers & pools for Pete's sake!)

Allegedly, this is just the preorder version of the game. After the game is released, they are going to release a regular version and drop the price by $10. This should happen hopefully 1-2 months after release.

Actually the $80 one is the premium edition which includes The Sims 4 game, a handbook guide, a digital sound track, and 3 digital content plus you're pre-ordering which is always more expensive. I think the least expensive one is $60 limited edition which is just the The Sims 4 game and Life of the Party digital content, it is also a pre-order price.

I wonder how much the retail version of Limited Edition would cost. The non pre-order version.

The price will probably drop like $10 or $15 but that's after a while, once the people who didn't buy pre-order but don't mind the high price that much to wait.

Yeah and the US isn't getting anything special like the other regions either...idk I am not a fan of the dlc that comes with the game, nor listen to gaming soundtracks.

Sims 4 game soundtrack? NEVER! I'm not paying for that. I'd rather have the game mute.

The Premium/Deluxe versions have more than just the soundtrack.

I just want to buy the standard edition for the Sims 4. Not $70 for some useless digital crap.

The regular version of the game without the digital extras will be about $40 and comes out within two months after release of the game.
