Hey, there. I'm new to these forums. I never participated in The Sims 3 forums, but I just quit World of Warcraft and decided to pick the Sims back up. In that vein, I started hanging out on the Sims 3 forums [never posted], since I played WoW because of the social aspect of it. Well, I was mostly on the Sims 4 forum, and it was pretty...negative, I guess. You know, QQ no toddlers, QQ no pools, QQ no "whatever item/feature/thing here." Either way, I'm not really into socializing like that.

Anyways, I'm hoping to have a good time over here reading posts, learning new info about the game, and maybe even participating in threads and stuff!

PS: Speaking of participating, when I try to take screenshots in my The Sims 4 CAS Demo, when I copy into Microsoft Paint, I get nothing but a white picture. What's up with that? Anything I can do to, you know, get an actual screenshot? Different image program or something?

As for the Demo, I had all kinds of issues and unless you have something like Fraps, then you have to play windowed to get your screens to take. I don't know why. I hope you post some of your pictures here for us!

Hi! I am new here as well. How are you taking the screenshots? All I do is press and hold the windows key and press the print screen button aka "prt sc" and it goes into my pictures folder under screenshots. I have to be in windowed full screen mode while in game also and I am using windows 8.1 so I don't know if that's how you are doing it or not or if you have to do it another way but that's how I do it.

I tried it that way, but it wouldn't work. Print screen while windowed was the only way it worked for me. I'm windows 8.1 as well. I tried in all window modes and all types of print screen. LOL maybe mine is broken.

Hiya. Also new here. A refugee from the TS3 forums as well. I downloaded Fraps which is incredibly easy to use and free, for the most part. Of course, if you can get print screen to work when the game is windowed, that'd probably be easier. Especially since the full game will have the same camera and video controls from the previous games I believe.

I only just quit last month. I'm just not that excited about WoD, though, WoW is still pretty much the best MMO out there, so I haven't moved on to a F2P MMO or anything. I hate the subscription fee, too. Another reason I decided to stop playing. I'd rather put that subscription fee to The Sims 4 and other games I can keep.

Anyways, I have Windows 8.1. It never occurred to me to trying screenshots in windowed mode, so I'm about to try that now. If it works, I'll have an excuse to make more Sims!

Sorry it isn't working for you! Are you holding down the windows key while you press the prt sc button? I also believe you have to be in windowed mode in order to do it. I never tried it while in full screen mode.

Yeah, pasting the image and saving would be a pain for me as well. I guess some people are having troubles doing it the same way I am so it might not work for everyone

I will have to try again, but I did try in both windowed and full screen.

off topic, how do you become a v.i.p?

I just switched it to windowed fullscreen mode and did windows button + print screen, and it worked! Thanks!
