Why no ghosts?

Why haven't we heard any news about ghosts in the Sims 4, and some are saying because they are not in it. But I don't get it, ghosts have been in the sims scince the sims 1!

Saving them for sims 4 version of supernaturals. If you ask me i'm glad their saving them. Maybe and hopefully they will act more like ghost then in sims 3. Sims 3 ghost sucked all they were was just different colors and did nothing unique.


In sims 4 i want ghost to be able to haunt sims playable ghost and non playable. Be able to possess sims and have control over them for a few sim hours. Make objects float make the lights flicker make the room cold when on a lot

I dont really have any information about ghosts beign taken out of the game. Honestly, the ghosts in TS3 were horrible. Thesims2 had the best ghosts so far, the console version in particular are quite scary when compared to other ghosts in the serie. I just hope that if they plan to introduce the features that are not in basegame with EPs, that they do those right.

And @Cynel,Bare basegame does not equal better Eps. To me thesims3 was Bare and the EPs were equally Bare. The good thing so far is that there is nothing missing that cant be added later, unlike in Thesims3, where the Robotic sims screwed over all the content from the serie.

I like the fact that the Base Game has been kinda wiped cleaned of alot of things. It opens up more possibilities for expansion packs.

I am going to miss ghosts. I am hopeful they will be added soon. One of the things I loved about playing The Goth household in TS3 is the ghosts. It was little wonder they were so grumpy. No one could ever get a full night's rest. Those ghosts were also great for skilling in charisma. They also applied toward friend and aquaintance counts. I had one legacy play game in which Morty and Bella grew up, got married, had Cassandra and Alexander. I gave Cassandra the insane trait as a result of exposure to all the ghosts from the crib. Alexander grew up but because EA Story Progression didn't work well there were no prospective girlfriends in the town. Cornelia had maxed out her gardening and cooking and never died thanks to an endless supply of death flowers. So she resurrected Lolita then made her some Ambrosia. Has anyone ever seen the non-ghost version of Lolita? She is really cute.

I've always got this theory : cas was so intuitive, like playing with clay. So why no pool ? Because water would turn ur playdoh little sim into a pile of crap. Pile-of-crap substance ghosts were just too nasty . Wallah, toddlers were shocked and disappear. They furiously cursed the game, made it impossible to edit terrain until 2016, patch number 45

If you don't want to go to the considerable effort it takes to develop a level 10 cook, obtain life fruit and death fish, learn the ambrosia recipe and allow someone in the family to die so as to earn the Oh My Ghost! opportunity, you can download her from my studio. My TS3 name is Sincerbox. You won't find much in my studio. I am not a creative builder. But I did find it useful for saving accomplishments like this. She is unaltered and exactly the way Maxis/EA made her other than she isn't a ghost.

I have that feeling that sixaM made ghosts like The Sims 2 were upon death Grimmy just collects them, and you just don't see the ghosts until much later. [And yes, Mourning them will prolong the inevitable reveal.]
But then again, if they add them as an expansion feature later with more fleshed out gameplay, i would totally look forward to it.

I kind of have the same suspicion. I've been thinking about how careful they've been to not show what happens a couple of days or so after a sim dies. On the other hand, at least one person had their husband die (I think it was SimsVIP?) and may have played long enough for the ghosts to have been revealed.

I agree about the EP. If they're more ghosty in an EP, I'd like that, as well.
