Sims 4: Campus Days

Maybe more of a club based thing rather than factions.


Plus career ideas:
Health-care (sub-branches: Medicine/Counselling)
Ecology/Biology (sub-branches: Conservation/Microbiology)
Scientist (sub-branches: Physics/Chemistry)
Historian (sub-branches: Archaeology/Education)
Mathematics (Sub-branches: Engineering/Accountant)

All requiring Uni degrees

Maybe that's the reason they removed the base careers. It was weird how you could get a degree for certain job but then anyone could get a Medicine career. I like the clubs idea better than the social groups. I thought it was weird for a college ep; it's better for a high school ep.

All these ideas make me even more excited for the potential of the new world structure! I'd love to be able to have a working Sim take a course that could help toward a promotion, or a Business Sim (please please please) be able to take a leave from work to do an MBA. And yes, love the idea of different types of postsecondary!

@Cynel when I said I would prefer it if the College town wasn't its own separate world so that all the teens going on YAs who do want to go to college don't have to move directly to the 'college town'. For instance I live in a town which is 1 town over from the local community college (a community college here is something that is bit more hands-on then a university) and during my time in college in the first year I rode two buses to the college. I rode to (street) and then switched to another (street) and got on the bus which dropped me off right in front of the main campus and I went home in a similar manner. I lived at home and commuted everyday to the school.

It could be cool to have a university that you travel to and one that can be it's own neighborhood added to a world.

I'm pretty sure Graham said you can't place them. However, I think we can edit other lots, so we can just delete the buildings on those lots I guess. I could be wrong though.

There would likely be campus worlds again so it would be a question of if they unlock editing lots or placing them later.

A university EP is a must. I would like to suggest an English and/or Creative Writing major. My BA is English with Creative Writing so I was gutted when Sims 3 made the generic major names. I'm playing a simself now and she had to choose Communications even though she's a shy sim who hates doing the activity where they report to the campus. On the whole Sims 3 did university better but Sims 2 had a better choice of majors.

Also I think sending any student from YA upwards is also a must. I was very pleased that EA included that in Sims 3. I was 26 when I started uni which meant that in Sims 2, i couldn't have a simself work in the adult world for a few days before sending her to uni. Plus I knew some "elder" students at my universities and they were amongst the nicest people I met

I also think certain careers really should be for graduates only. As already mentioned, the Medicine career is the obvious one here. It's always weird to me that a sim can start out as an ambulance driver or whatever the low level jobs are and then somehow become a Surgeon without any formal qualifications.

Also love the connection with a magic EP. Hogwarts

TS4 was rushed, that's public knowledge, but now I think they have time to do every EP perfectly. Unless there's a schedule or something..

It would be cool if there were real greeks and sims could choose which one they want to pledge.

There could be majors like pre-med and pre-law and sims would have to got med or law school before getting the dream job
