Just because disagree, doesn't mean I'm offended, Incognito. Ebuchala explained the list quite well, I don't feel the need to add to her post. Why "Incognito", BTW? I'm curious about people names today, for some reason.

Incognito because I like playing sims who are spies, and it fits well with that.

It's a nice name. I should start a thread about people names. Maybe when my headache is gone.

Babies are no more than objects in the game. Every interaction with them has to be near the crib. They are changed in the crib and fed at the crib. You can hold them but you can't walk away from the crib with them.

I'm not overly fond of how they have babies set up in 4, either. Though, apparently, you get a really nice baby bond increase between mom and baby when they breastfeed.

Technically, babies have been objects in every game. They could just be picked up and carried around. I never played with babies--did anyone ever have a baby stuck in their inventory/backpack in TS3? They would do that with birds all the time.

That's not exactly true. The whole "focus" on performance is just them twisting around words for marketing and they are hoping no one fights them on it.

If you look up the entire history of this game, you will realize that the first four years of development were for an entirely different online game. Those design and development decisions clearly carried over as limitations into this offline game and were likely the reason for most of what was cut from CAST (online performance) to toddlers (not needed in online game). When this happened an "easy" excuse was to say performance issues...

EA did the same EXACT thing with SimCity. They claimed it ran online for "performance" and that calculations were being done on the server. It took a hacker a week to prove they were lying and forced them to back pedal and eventually add an offline mode. The same thing may certainly happen with CAST.

Please read the first sentence in my list where it states that the list doesn't include things included with expansion packs or identified by the guru's and later cut.

I'm very clear in making this statement, and I know you are fully aware of the list. You are being extremely misleading for no reason at all.

This thread is the EXACT point I have been trying to make for a while. NOT EVERYONE is aware of what is going on with this game and we are doing no harm telling them the truth.

False or not, it does make sense. The game has to load each and every unique style that you've created, so it would make sense that this would speed up the game a little. I do, however, understand the idiocy of EA trying to push the online thing when we don't want it.

Actually, I wasn't aware of that. You've mentioned multiple times that you included things that were patched into the base game from expansion packs (it seems to be quite a sticking point for you--if it was patched into the base game, then it's now officially part of the base game). I did miss that you'd taken out the things previously promised by gurus because I hardly ever read your initial comments anymore. I've been looking at that thread for weeks; the comments at the top are like blah, blah, blah, anymore. Honestly, I don't even read the comments at the top of Joe's thread anymore either.

So, I'm making this very clear--I'm not intentionally misleading anyone. I made a mistake for which I apologize. I'm sure you've made a few yourself so lighten up. I'm also fairly sure people are capable of reading the first portion of your post and can tell for themselves that I wrote something incorrectly, if they cared to. I'd like to think you're capable of giving people the benefit of the doubt that they're able to determine for themselves the validity and/or hyperbolic nature of your list, depending on what they find important for them. I've repeatedly made myself clear on both forums that I think both threads are valuable and people should do their own due diligence to determine what they take from each list.

I do not understand the thread as there is tons of info about Sims 4 on this site and other fan sites.
Remember this is just the base game . I am hoping for lots of new expansions and this world will get bigger and better.

Did someone really rate my original post asking for information as dumb. o_O

I find that very rude, yes there may be a lot of information floating around, but without asking others; who are more in the know, how was I to know what is correct or false. I thought this forum was supposed to be friendly, however rating a post that asks for information as a dumb one is anything but. :(

Don't worry about it. When I suggested any demo glitches should be reported to Maxis, I got an "old" rating. I'm not sure if they were taking about the post, or me... LOL

Ok I'm gonna put my 2 cent worth ...unless your a person that does story progressions I am not worried about toddlers sure they are cute and we got to teach them to walk, talk and use the potty they will be missed ...I must say I was sad to know there were no pools but after seeing how the build mode is so much easier to work with that is not bothering me either now lol...I just want to have fun play and enjoy and see whats in store for the future "expansions" I've been playing since The Sims, Sims2 and 3 and I'm still here like most avid Sim players...like I said in an earlier post we may rant and rave but in the end we are still loyal fans of the game :D and I would recommend Sims 4....lol September 2nd can't get here fast enough for me ...
