If you're always connected to the Internet it's wise to keep it on, of course, but mine is 70% of the time off, so I don't find it necessary to have the AV always on..

I am always connected, but I could unplug my internet while playing sims.

I'd love to be able to speak japanese, it sounds so awesome Not using avast and always connected to the internet, so I'd better not turn it off then :huh:

Okay I have a possibly seriously stupid question, so please bear with me - this isn't an official EA site right? Or what? At first I thought it was, because of the contest, but then I noticed there's no EA logos anywhere h34r: I'm so confused LOL

Nope, not EA official just a fansite for sims forums. I believe the contest is through Cupcakes and Chris the admins. (How generous of them)

Oh so that's why the site's layout is so much better than thesims3.com LOL! Whoa, that's crazy :blink: Wonder how anyone can afford that! I mean the laptop alone costs, I dunno about 2000$ or something

That and it's a very nice laptop at that specialized for gaming, I think that particular one is about $1,500. not to mention 2nd and 3rd place prizes are also worth $60 (TS4 preorder)

I'm always way too suspicious for my own good, I just can't wrap my head around private people (ie not big companies) giving away prizes like that LOL! Guess I'm really cynical huh? :blink:

I guess we will wait and see, I have lots of hope though. They seem like nice people.

Yeah and it wouldn't make sense for anyone to set this up and spend a lot of time on it if it was all a scam.. I mean what could anyone possibly get out of this? Email-addresses and adresses of the people who win.. Not a whole lot can be done with that since it's people from all over the world lol..

Yeah I think it's just people like us, excited about TS4 and sims in general wanting to converse and manage a website.
