I am very monetarily strained at the moment, so I will have to stick with my desktop as is. It runs the Sims 3 like a dream, however, so I don't think I will have many, if any, problems with The Sims 4. Somewhere down the road I'd like to build my own gaming computer, but that won't be for a while :(

Right now I have an HP Pavilion desktop running Windows 7 64bit. I have an AMD Athlon II processor with 4CPUs, 2.6 gigs and 6144MB of ram. My video card is an GeForce GT 630 with 4046 MB.

If I do end up having problems with Sims 4 I will probably just add some ram.

I don't think you'll have a problem, especially if you're running all of Sims 3 without trouble. I assume that 2.6 is your CPU speed, not your hard drive space? You've got a system a bit better than mine and I'm not foreseeing a problem. I want to do about five hundred dollars in upgrades, but like you, there's no way I can afford it right now.

Hubby built mine. Here are the specs:
it ran TS3 with all of the EP's and SPs pretty well. Some occasional lagging. I also had Overwatch and a few other NRAAS mods as well.

My computer was the same way. I had to play the sims 3 on low because there was so much graphics and my laptop could NOT handle it. But i still played even though my Sims looks pixilated lol
