if you look up aguilera, a lot of the top ones where mine and modified by others. All they did was change her clothes... mine has 11 downloads... it sucks when people take your work and get credit for it. Also, I told her she should share hers again and now it says that it is by her. So she uploaded my copy and I took mine off the gallery. Then she reuploaded her and now it says its by her.

What I can't believe is how easy it is to make your own sim now with the new CAS tools and how some people aren't even trying to learn how to use them. I download other sims that I truly like or think would be good mates/friends/townies for my sims once the game launches, I just wouldn't even think to be that underhanded and try to take credit for other's work. I still have a problem with somebody downloading a sim and "fixing" it before re-uploading it to the gallery. It's kind of like telling the creator that what they did wasn't good enough.

Believe me if I can make sims that I enjoy, then anybody can do it. You just have to really start playing around with CAS and learning what it can do first though! I'm still learning and I've made over 50 sims.

Oh that's so bad! I'm truly so sorry to hear that! It doesn't add a credit names! That Sims 4 team think that all Sims are for everyone but not to us, I prefer to see when we create and it's mine, it's yours, and it's his, hers... etc... I hope one day there will be a mod to create something like credit names stamp... on sims' butts? lol For me I prefer to add custom content (default replacement) on Sims to avoid stealing I think... because many people believed that cc defaults may hurt their computer like destroy the whole computers! LOL And also many others don't want any cc in their computers. The Sims 4 team should give us a choice like a gallery without download or gallery with a download. I really really hate that system so much. I was afraid if I mis-click it... *bam* public!

I admit that I'm one of those people who quite often prefers to look at other's work to get inspired, but to steal it and claim it my own with only a few different features? The nerve... People don't realize that doing that is like stealing the Mona Lisa, paint a mustache to her and claim it to be their artwork.

This is why I'm not going to upload my characters unto the online Gallery. If I want to showcase them, I'll take pictures and post them. Actually scratch that... who's to say that someone won't try to create a replica of my Sim with that picture?

I am fine when people use my sims as inspiration, there's nothing wrong with that. I LOVE to share my sims, I just think it's ridiculous that people do their best to get rid of the original creator..

I agree...that's why every Sim I downloaded from someone..if I modified was a hair style or clothes but to change the appearance nah cause that was my purpose to downloading them to keep the look they have..how ever I keep them for me I don't re post them cause like you said its letting the creator know well its was not good so I had to make it better...and I don't like that ...So I keep all mine for myself "GREEDY" yes I am but some people have made some awesome looking celebrities that have a very close resemblance to the person or person they have made...so for me that's a plus and I appreciate all the hard work put into them...I'm just keeping them for me...Someone made a excellent Paul Walker so I had to have him ...apparently that person must be going though the same thing cause I checked to see if he did anything else and he took it down...so yeah when I down load I also leave a comment of how good the Sim is and even a thank you cause with out them I wouldn't have the Sim in the first place ....

Wow so ironic. Some people download a sim as a base, rework all of it and can't save because it still counts as somebody else's, yet somebody who blatantly plagiarises it can upload it easy and get credit. Wow.

You should upload your Sims to the gallery expecting this to happen. This is how it is and we can't change it, sadly. If you don't want the Sim to be stolen, don't upload it to the gallery. This sucks but we can't really do anything about it...

The only way is to set up a Tumblr, Blog, Flick, Wordpress, etc... or even any forums like here that you can show off the pictures are good enough... period. Let the crazy people gone mad. Too bad!

There is a system in place to do just that. People are finding ways to circumvent it. Which is pretty low, I'd you ask me.

My Chirstina actually has almost 130 now and I uploaded her yesterday... I think its because the other one got taken down? I am happy that I am getting credit for my own work though finally.

I don't think it is fair to attack the person who did this. The whole system is messed up which is why the released the demo to test these things. I downloaded two Sims and merged it with my family I created. When I deleted one of the Sims from the creator and re-uploaded the family, it listed the wrong creator. Also, I have downloaded a Sim I edited that was someone elses and it listed me as the creator. I wasn't trying to steal the person's work but that is just how the system listed it.

I wasn't trying to be mean. The reason I rated it dumb was because you don't know if the person was trying to steal your Sim or not. They system that identifies the creator is broken and this has been talked about by many people already. If you remove the library folder, it lists you as the creator of the Sims that you downloaded or if you upload the Sim and redownload it, it then lists you as the creator. This is how the system works right now so I don't think it is fair to accuse someone of stealing your Sim unless they state somewhere they were the original creator.

Also, the person who did re-upload made changes to the Sim and didn't upload the Sim the exact same way. Maybe they liked the Sim better with that style and uploaded it for themselves so they could have it when the game is released. Right now the only way people know how to transfer Sims to the game is to upload them to the Gallery and download the Sim on release.

Really? I guess I better upload more of my sims...
