So i went over to the Sims 3 site tonight... just to take a look around and when i clicked on the forums it provides a link now to the new Forum.

Sorry if you guys new about this...I'm just now getting around to noticing it. Any hoooooooooo

I take a stroll over to the new vamped up forum and low and behold... there are all the trolls and haters and negative posters who now seem to be really having a good time making it miserable for anyone to be excited about the new game. and there was someone, not gonna name them, who must have put 12 new posts with extremely vulgar titles and comments...

and I'm just thinking to myself.... Really dude? you've got nothing to do all night but be disgusting and post things that are insulting, and distasteful... Really?

why do people do that? it's a harmless game... that I personally really enjoy... why is there always some jack hole that ruins it for everyone else. :stop:

I'm glad I found this forum. so many good peeps with good things to say about the new game.;)

You're right, but I also have a hunch that things will slowly start to calm down once the game is out. Only time will tell. But no matter what happens I'll stick to this forum. It's pretty cool around here :D

Yes, i agree with you Nick.. I've enjoyed this forum.... even though I don't get to log on a lot... I like all the new information people have been posting and the more positive outlook for the game. I think this will be my preferred forum as well.

True .. I have to agree with all of you... This site is much much better... I "met" here people that are fun to talk to.. And also I never met someone who was rude like those kids on that official forum site...

This comunity is really great.. :) I hope that after the game is out the number of great and amazing people will rise :)

I think it's getting better there, but the moderation isn't helping. It's undermoderated half the time and badly moderated the rest.

I do agree that they can be a little too negative over there. I also don't like the trolling and nastiness, but they have a right to be discontent with the game.

EA is charging more than $60 for a game that hasn't lived up to some of its promises and was rushed through.

They just did things differently and added alot of new features into the series. :) It'll still be a good game, and :welcome2: to the community!

    Thanks for the welcome.

They did do things differently and they did add new features that are pretty cool I have to admit.

quite honestly, EA are working them hard and stretching them... having just done Simcity. I expect the Sims 4 will become everything we want it to be over time with new EPs and DLC.

I don't know about you, but i'd rather they released a solid base game thats reliable and stable now, and add to it over time. Rather than delaying the game a year just to add a few extra features OR rushing features into it so it's identical to the Sims 3 base game and have it be buggy and unstable.

Regardless of what they did, people would still complain about something. No game is perfect at launch. But what I can say is I look forward to the next few years playing the Sims 4 :) lets not forget, the Sims 3 will always be here too should we miss it ;)

The reason for missing features is simply the lack of time, not laziness. EA should have given the game a later release date. It is too late to delay now though.

That was one option i'd imagine... but we'd probably have to wait a whole year for it, since the prime time is to sell it before Christmas (Fall/Autumn of each year)

I'm too impatient to wait a whole year just for a few extra features, i'd rather they release what they have now, and just give us an expansion next year with all the extra features.... or better yet updates throughout the year.

I don't want them to charge for toddlers, pools, etc. I hope they're included in a patch.

What they should have done is leave Sims 4's future in the hands of The Sims Community... What did the ones playing the game want to see in-game? Would the rating have increased? Quite possibly... But you know what? I have seen people not old enough to play an "M" rated game, try to go out and buy the game anyway... I just think that The Sims creators were being way too protective... They should have come out with a "T" rated version and an "M" rated version of the game... I'm not saying violence or anything like that but with the exclusions that they didn't put in the "T" game, such as Woohoo or Romantic Skill... Why? Because they were afraid that it would have increased their game's rating. I mean, most of us die-hards, or at least for me, I have been playing Sims ever since it came into existence and I would have liked to see two versions of the game. Those that are 20-30 somethin year olds, and those that are teenagers, that are just starting out into getting to know The Sims... It quite isn't fair that its STILL rated "T" for Teen... Come on, it wouldn't have been THAT hard to do... :\

But back to what I was saying on The Sims 4 -- Being shaped and formed to how us Simmers wanted the game to look like... Not what they thought we wanted in the new chapter of The Sims. Oh, the Sim community wants Create-a-Style back? BAM! There you go! Color Wheel? Whah-la! Its back!!! You want more flirtatious interactions, based on what you would like to see? You got it! I mean, of course, maybe they would make some modifications but it would be what we always viewed it to be... But nope... they did their own thing. Shame on them! Lol... j/k.

The haters are mostly teen girls that are pissed off when they heard no toddlers or pools it seems.

I don't rarely stick around on forums much..i was going to post over there but i never had the drive to do it but of course i have had my fair share of rude posters talking to me. Fan forums are the places to be.. so much calmer here!

Yet i should appear more x_x

Actually... there really is nothing wrong with waiting. I think it's just the thought of all the goodies I currently have with The Sims 3... and wondering... oooooo will they give us this and that in The Sims 4... You know... greediness on my part really.:)
