Okay It's Crunch Time! What Are Your Sim Plans?

It's official folks, LESS than 24 hours and we'll be simming our little hearts out! I made a thread wanting to know how YOU were going to prepare, now I want to know, what's your plan once you get IN GAME?

• Will you be playing with a family or a single sim?

• Rags to Riches or MOTHERLODE your sims into luxury?
• Which world do you think you'll start in?
• Taking your time or exploring everything on day 1?
• Planning on taking screen shots and posting them in a blog or your own site?
• Any goals from the start or will you let your sim guide you?

You don't have to answer these questions specifically but just some things I'm curious about. You all have seen my picture of my food supply so you know how I've prepared MYSELF for my simcation this week but my actual plans for in game are pretty exciting... for me lol!

Originally I had full intentions of making my main sim Ms. Mandrake, however, I've actually decided to go with my male sim Aiden Lancaster.

So this is my plan: I always play rags to riches and I'm going to take my sweet time and enjoy every little tidbit I can. As I've mentioned several times, although I did post alot of new information as it was coming out, I rarely looked at any video and most pictures simply because I want to experience the game for myself.

I will probably turn aging off until Aiden reaches the top of his career, I've decided he's going to be a Start-up Entrepreneur from the Tech Guru career. I figure he'll slowly make friends at work and then eventually become more social on his days off and eventually have a crush hehe! Ultimately he will have a family and that will be a ton of fun to experience but in the beginning I'm going to really let Aiden guide me. I'm going to focus on his whims and Aspiration goals and try to make them happen for him.

I will most certainly be taking pictures and starting my first ever blog here on this site haha! I'm going to start out in Willow Creek and then eventually, my plan is to either move to Oasis Springs or hang out there enough from time to time to have made some friends that live in the other town.

The aspects I really want to get into at some point are:
Collecting (which I just realized the Geek trait is good for)
Gardening
Cooking
Music
Painting
Writing

Eventually I'll look into the 2 other secret areas but that's not a priority of mine. Well, now it's your turn! What are your ideas as to how you plan to spend your time when you take your very first sim steps into 4??

• Have you already picked out your sim? - Yup!
• Will you be playing with a family or a single sim? - Kilan and Kaylin, and maybe some of other sims all in 1 household. I'm mostly thinking just the twins though since I'm not pro enough for a whole large household yet. 4 friggin' installments in and I STILL can't handle a large household, golly!
• Premade or one you created? - Creations yo!
• Rags to Riches or MOTHERLODE your sims into luxury? - Gonna play it regularly, no motherlode this time haha
• Which world do you think you'll start in? - Hmm.. I'm honestly thinking Willow Creek, but Oasis Springs don't sound too bad either. I'll have a definite answer as the big moment inch closer to me.
  
• Taking your time or exploring everything on day 1? - Gonna take my time and bloat my screenshot folder up that's for sure
  
• Planning on taking screen shots and posting them in a blog or your own site? - Gonna post 'em here on S4F in my own thread
• Any goals from the start or will you let your sim guide you? - Kilan's gonna be quite the casanova, let's just leave it at that for now~ Oh, and I'm gonna try and get Kilan to the top of his career in Entertainment. Kaylin will be a renowned artist.

Oh, a reason I'm not touching any money cheats is because I wanna see just how "big, bad and tough" the bills are compared to previous installments. Bring it on!

I'm debating if i want to use my simself as my first household (see avatar to the left)...if so i'll still prolly make some minor tweaks to him once the full wardrobe is unlocked in the full game. I'm not going to take screenshots of my gameplay, though will probably do regular blogs on here of the houses i build (i'm one of those weird fanatics that will spend 8 hours building a house). I've also been debating starting up doing let's plays, though i am realizing i don't have the free time to actually edit such content on a regular basis.

Yeah I'll be starting my first blog ever on this site with some screenies and comments haha! I'm definitely hoping to have Aiden be the start of my Legacy but it will all depend on how things go. It would be sweet if my first ever Sims 4 sim was the "Original" Lancaster hehe!

I want to get into so much it's crazy but I'll try to stick with what makes sense for the sim so, although I'm super curious about Cooking and Writing and Art and Music, it probably won't suit Aiden, but perhaps his partner or one of the kids I haven't even listened to any game music yet except what's in the CAS Demo. I get so excited over the smallest of things like the little picture graphics that show up when the sims do stuff, the music and I'll really be paying extra attention to their facial expressions since Emotions has been such a big push for this game haha!

SimsConnection started uploading some of the songs from TS4, like build mode, CAS sounds different than the demo, more shiny sounds you'll notice right away, several songs from various radio channels. I haven't listened to them all except 1 Pop song and 1 CAS song, I'd rather wait to hear them in-game myself.

Well I've stayed away from most of that stuff so I can experience it for myself, however, I do know that after I've got accustomed to the different radio stations, I'll most certainly be incorporating music from my own personal library into the game lol! I'm so excited! Everything is going to feel so "NEW" haha! Like a breath of fresh air for Sims, it's almost here!!!!!!!

• Will you be playing with a family or a single sim?I will be playing two brothers and their best friend "Cousin" so will be a single guys household...but I'm also gonna bring three sisters into the town ...yeah I love to multitask myself so this should be interesting lol
• Premade or one you created? I created them all myself
• Rags to Riches or MOTHERLODE your sims into luxury? Well I will use the Motherlode cheat cause I want them to live in a nice home I might do the rags to riches thing later for another group
• Which world do you think you'll start in? I will start in Oasis Springs
• Taking your time or exploring everything on day 1?
• Taking my time but I'll be up all night having fun lol who knows what we will find but Im sure we can't find everything in one night hehe.

• Any goals from the start or will you let your sim guide you? Well One brother I want him to program games I thought that would be interesting. Another one is a comedian and loves to joke..and the cousin...He's looking for Ms Right and would like to one day start a family so we will see how this goes...the woman have set goals as well. One is an artist and one loves cooking and one is a writer.....cant wait to get started ....

• Have you already picked out your sim? Yes, have a bunch of sims I am working on and maybe fix up just a bit and than be ready to play.
• Will you be playing with a family or a single sim? I might start out with a family I have but more like not a couple, but siblings and their mother. Really depends on what I want to do first to test it out.
• Premade or one you created? Created usually, they might end up with a towning or premade sim though.
• Rags to Riches or MOTHERLODE your sims into luxury?Depends. If I am doing a challenge or something, I will try not to cheat, but if I want to make a story or machinima, I might use motherlode to set it up.
• Which world do you think you'll start in? Willow Creek.
• Taking your time or exploring everything on day 1? Maybe, just to get the feel of the game and learn where everything is, all the cheats, etc....
• Planning on taking screen shots and posting them in a blog or your own site? Yes. I have my own simblr (sims tumblr blog, samirasims.).
• Any goals from the start or will you let your sim guide you? Again, it depends on what I decide to do, I might do a bit of both. Control the sims to set things to how I want it, but also let them choose what they want as well.

My ultimate goal is to build some homes/lots (if I can) to be more fitting for some sims and story ideas and eventually try to make some cc and create a good machinima (or try to as I am still learning and have to figure out editing with Sony Vegas and widows movie maker).

Woot! I'm ready. I plan on taking many naps today/tomorrow since it is already 12am EST so that when the Sims 4 drops I can stay up all morning exploring like Indiana Jones. Then I am going to hop on over to Amazon and write an honest review and hopefully it will help folks to decide if they want to get the game or not. THEN I am going to start filming. I made up my own challenge: See how many children you can put into the world with one couple before you get tired of family reunions challenge.

Introducing my first family (you probably have seen the lady before:


Heba and her hubba hubba husband Johnny. Johnny originally had an evil bro but I have left him out for now. With the gallery and the insert into gameplay system I might just be able to drop him into the world later.(This got me to thinking: if you add someone during gameplay does it have to be everyone if uploaded multiple people in a household or can you pick just one and will the gallery let you download a family of say 8 sims into an active game when that is too much to merge a household.) Well, we'll find out later tonight.

Anywhoo, I am going to have the family start out honest. Johnny has the ambitious trait so I will have him work his way up the career ladder. Haven't decided on what career yet tho. Heba Moordock will be a chef. I will start them out in Oasis Springs w/o cheats. Oh boy. I don't intend to start downloading mods and cc either. If there are any glitches in game *crosses fingers* I'll want to know where they are coming from.

Before I start playing, I plan to bulldoze the current population. I think a Guru indicated that the game will randomly populate your town when Sims die but I am going to try and have mostly my premade sims. I have 80 or so thus far, running around town. It is going to be so cool to see the bros from Brofest and the Ballers and the Colorblind family running around town.

My second family is the cheat family. I will start them out with plenty of money in Willow Creek just to see how grand I can make their house and what stuff I can afford to buy when money is no object.
This Destry family is from old money and bro and sis Vance and Mahana are going to live a life of spoiled indulgence for a bit, before I make them get a job. Lol
Just cuz I love diversity I made Mahana and her little bro Vance the offspring of a Polynesian 'princess' and an Italian self-made Jeweler. I might make dear old Mom and Dad when I can use the genetics for an older couple but I could see myself getting tired of them pretty quick.

Thank you, Nick. I can't see the pictures on my PC for some reason but I have my laptop next to me and it shows up just fine. I somehow deleted Heba and Johnny but they are back now.

I won't miss him either. Whenever he showed up I started fussing and trying to beat him up. That's when I needed a mean Sim but I never had one. Oh, sorry, I confused him with the burglar. It was the burgler I wanted to bust a cap in. lol

I used fire hacks to protect my furniture in TS2 & TS3. I'm such a badass right??
Too bad they don't exist in TS4 otherwise I'd be building flaming fortresses once again

I get to play after 4th in my country.. bit jealous but It will be ok I think I wont show up here until I get my game Cause I would die of jelausy
