Sims 4 Installation Error Help?

    A user/visitor of the site emailed me this, she was wondering if you guys could help her out:

    I have emailed her back the link to this thread, so anything you guys and girls can add to this to help her that'd be super helpful :)

    Tell her to go to the Microsoft webpage and download it directly from there, instead of using the installer from the game. Maybe that will do something. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

    Also, why can't she simply register and talk to us instead? There's no charge for it...

    I'm not sure, but maybe this would help?

    1. Go to Windows Update
    2. Click Installed Updates
    3. Find Update KB2918614 in the list and uninstall it.
    4. Restart your computer.
    5. Run Sims 4 installation again.
    6. Play Sims 4! Yay!!
