Too many elders!

This isn't a technical post, more like a rant.

Anyone else's game got filled with elder sims? I mean they're like EVERYWHERE! I have my sim step out of his house just for a moment to get the mail for example and all I see are elder sims walking in front of my house. Also, I went to the lounge in Oasis Springs and my god it was like senior night or something every day.

It's most likely a glitch, I know, but it's so darn annoying.

My town is like this now too...and im starting to get concerned that im going to have to manually re-populate my town once they all die...at least the gallery makes it somewhat easier...just take some and plop them into the houses =/

I actually have not experienced this problem yet but I unchecked "auto-age unplayed sims" in the game play menu of game options, so maybe that's why? I checked that because in Sims 3 my towns always turned into Naples, Florida.

Naw that can't be right, I have mine unchecked as well. I think they're just randomly generated townies starting their lives at elder stage, the game is spitting out far too many elders and not many sims of other ages.

Ah. I see. I have not seen this yet on my game. In fact, my sim doesn't know any elders at all, but I have seen a few around here and there. Nothing major. I see like one elder for every ten or so that aren't.

Lucky you. Feels like elders are slowly dominating my game

Maybe the next expansion with offer a C.N.A career?

I've deleted a bunch of single-elder households from my 'not in world' household folder and swapped them out for some lovely young adults. ^^

I think I might do that actually. Ugh but the work is so tedious, I just wish the game could have a sense of balance when it comes to spawning townies of all age groups.

It shouldn't take all too long, I just grabbed families from the gallery and merged them haha.

I have the same issue!! and it is impossible to find other teenagers around town!

Do you have a bunch of Grim Reaper only households?

That'd be interesting, really. Why not just fill homes with some of your own made sims?

I had this problem with my original family (as in the first generation) As soon as mine aged to elders, so did everyone else. It evened out a lot by the time the second generation aged to adults.. now there's a good mix

Alright so I threw out a large chunk of the elders in the game and took my sim to a bar for a little bit, there were a bunch of children at a nearby park. So far, so good. I haven't checked out the lounge yet at Oasis Springs so I'll report back when I do.

My town has pretty much the perfect amount of all ages. Lol. You have kids, teens and adults, plus a few elders here and there.
