Very. At least until all sims are off the premises completely. It's annoying waiting for them to finish their blabbering before leaving so ultra speed can kick in and pass time effectively.

Sorry that you don't care for Sims 4. I myself am loving every moment of it.. I never really cared for Sims 3 I didn't like the look especially on some of the Sims faces "shutters to think of them looking at me" But anyway the loading screens don't bother me at all they are a short wait. Also I don't mind the lot sizes cause I have all kinds of sims "families, singles, roomies ect". I love the build mode its just amazing to say the least. And so far they"EAgames seem to be concerned about any bug issues and have dealt with them in a fast way. The one thing I do miss is letting my sims drive...but I can wait and see if we get to drive in an EP who knows? All I can say is give it a chance it really is a great game I can say I'm really enjoying it...if not than just play Sims 3 and enjoy it ..

Loading screens don't phase me. This is coming from a person that's impatient by nature. As far as my opinion of Sims 4 goes, until I actually buy the game on the 19th, I can only voice my opinion based on the CAS Demo I've been playing with and other people's reviews/opinions. I've also watched the You Tube videos and came across dozens of screenshots.

Like I said, I will buy the game. Until I try the game for myself and see whether or not it's the game for me, I'm not going to 100% bash nor support EA and Sims 4. However, I have voiced my opinion - even directly to EA about where Sims 4 has succeeded and where I believe (so far) they've failed. If it's really that horrible - flat out intolerable - then I've got no problem at all returning the game for a full refund. In many ways, I wished I had done that with Sims 3 - the problems I had from that game far surprassed the enjoyment I know I should have gotten out of it. Sims 2, in my opinion, was the best and most stable of all games of that genre.

I think for the past 10 years (most notably the last 5) we've been so used to the awesome custom content we've come across, along with the expansion packs that it's all too easy to forget what the base game looked like. I remember because after abandoning Sims 3 for 2 years I jumped back into it recently. The CC was fabulous. However, there was a reason I abandoned Sims 3 and it was because of that stupid launcher program and the endless encounters of problems that no matter how hard I tried to rectify, just couldn't win. I've since scrapped anything to do with Sims 3 and won't look back.

I'd rather look forward - and that's towards Sims 4. Okay, so people are disappointed that so much has been taken out of the game, which feels like a step back. This, at first, made me hesitant to go for Sims 4 - but then I took a moment to think about the talented custom content makers who've shown they're far better at making anything Sim-related far more realistic and eye-appealing than any EA artist has ever done.

Where I sit now, I couldn't care less if EA's version of Sims 4 isn't exactly stellar. I'm relying on the CC to help accomplish that. I also know EA is famous for Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs. To think they won't put an EP to broaden the Sims 4 world is short-sighted. They will. I also believe they'll find a way to bring the pools back. I'm also remembering in Sims 3 they had the Generations expansion pack. It's entirely possible they've got an EP in mind that'll be more family-oriented, which means a return of the toddler phase so many gamers seem to be missing.

I will admit, however, if EA was truly as smart as they fancy themselves to be, should have run polls with the Simming public from day one of their idea to develop Sims 4 until the actual completion of the game. Those polls would have focused on what the majority of the audience wanted and not what the developers of Sims 4 thought would sell. In this area, I feel EA dropped the ball - and this is why there's so many disappointed gaming fans.

Yes it does sometimes. Like if all of my sims is sleep and there is a guest over still that I couldn't be bothered asking to leave, then yeah it is run slower than that super speed.

Then at times, it is just slow, it is like I WANT THAT SUPER SPEED!

Hopefully our problems can be addressed in a future patch.

Last night was the first time I played and I've continued playing most of the day. Though I am impressed with the loading speed and other improvements, but I am really disappointed with the lack of customization options (can't choose your own colours or patterns!) and no pools?! My families have ALWAYS had pools, and I only just discovered there were none when I prepared my garden to build it! I don't like that when you buy something, you only have the choice of 2-5 colours? I loved being able to choose my own unique colours on the colour chart and patterns. My sim children used to have adorable hello kitty and disney bedrooms and clothes! Now it's just a choice of a few colours? :/

I was first shocked at how primitive The Sims 4 was when I compared it to TS3 in the game ...but now that I've played it, I greatly appreciate the fact that the game works! Ok, I loved The Sims 2 game and I loved The Sims 3 game, now I love The Sims 4 game♥
I love the simplicity of the game and the gameplay is good. I was so tired of The Sims 3 game repeated freezing :dead:
The only thing, really the only thing what I miss, is the family tree

Pools are supposed to be patched in next month... We're not getting CASt back but there are mods for changing clothing color and of course for completely new clothing. I don't play modded so I can't tell you much about it but it may be worth looking into if you're interested.

Yeah, I read this on Kotaku.
Although I don't know Yannick's sources for that specific piece of information, but he said he spoke to the Sims 4 executive producer, Rachel Franklin about the ghosts patch, but he didn't say she actually said anything about pools though. It would be nice to have pools, but it definitely does not make or break anything for me. My sims hardly used their pools in the past anyway.

Thanks :) I do like the game much more now that I've played it properly. I posted my last post when i'd just started playing, and was expecting something very different. Though I appreciate the game more now, and I'm relieved that pools are available in a free update. I would like to see more design options and creative freedom in the future though. I will probably mod my game a bit.
