Am I the only one who is having troubles finding partners for my Sims?
Even if I get the relationship up to about midway of the bar and then try to flirt with them, they just outright deny me! :(

    Does anyone have any tips?
Is there some sort of compatibility thing at work here they haven't told anyone about?

I never had any sim that denied any of mine. One thing that could be a problem is, that maybe the other sim is in a bad moode. Happens often.
Try to get the friendship and the relationship bar to the middle, invite the sim to your house and try again.
Another thing you could do is get yourself a flirt potion.

It won't let me build up the relationship bar though, it'll appear and then vanish right away as they deny my Sim..
    The poor girl!

I think I should just try a different guy haha.

Wait, if the bar disappers right away, then it sounds more like abug to me.

I think it might've been the townie Sim that was the problem, I found a different guy and it did work..
Still, that's 2 that didn't work, and only one that did work. I've never had this much trouble finding a spouse XD

Girl, I had that issue many times, it's not funny. Sims are not as easy as they were in The Sims 3 lol. It sucks when I want to make a story about a girl who is on the wild side.

But yeah, you just have to be real careful. Married ones outright always turn me down. I could never steal anyone's husband or wife.

I say test the water...ask if single (once in total), but after that, just do light flirting to test it. If the sim turns it down, build up the relationship more. Then once the Sim accepted one flirt and that pink bar appeared, you got him/her! Go from light to heavy flirting on that.

Thats true alot of the married ones are actually being good for a change which is shocking cause in Sims 3 in most cases it was easy to sway a married sim haha...but I agree with Gigi on this do light flirting and work your way up in most cases if you get closer to being a friend that helps once you get the pink bar keep working it lol good luck :D

They are picky! And one thing I've realized from playing around with cheats - you have a bar for how much you like your man, and he has a bar for how much he likes you. So even if yours is in the middle, his could still be lower :)

And as far as married Sims not steppin out as much...when I was building up my neighborhood's kid quota, didn't have any problems getting a married sim to get mine pregnant! The option popped up almost instantly O_O

Hit them with the pick-up line, works every time for me

Kilan uses pick-up lines on the ladies all the time and they get flirtatious from it.
