Sims 4 : 5 boys born i a row! no girls at all!!!

It was confirmed by Grant, I think yesterday that there is no way to predict what gender your sims will be. It's a basic 50/50 and even Crincit said that it wasn't a bug. But now that you mention it, I don't ever remember having a pregnant sim give birth to a girl.

I've been having both boys and girls.
It's just bad luck ^^ If you have a boy first, that doesn't mean that you are more likely to get a girl on the second try.
It's a 50/50 chance that sadly doesn't take previous outcomes into account

O.k., so there has been a couple more pregnancies in my game now. So far there has been a lot of girls born in my game, but I also have some boys in my game as well. One sim just gave birth to twin boys, but there were a few more boys born to other sims. So I gotten both, though in my game, seems like baby girls are more common.

I have Snow White has two daughters, Ella has two boys. me one of each and aurora has a boy currently.

I doubt this is a real thing, but when I put out a pink crib, my Sims have girls.

My Sim has had boy, girl, boy, girl so far...I'm had the same bassinet since the first and it is yellow.

So my sim had 5 children all at the hospital all boys. She had a final child after I read the first page of posts here and she had the child at home it was a girl. The bassinet was still blue from the previous boy so that didn't make a difference and I wouldn't know for certain if staying home to have the child mattered without trying for another one and well the house is full so that will not be happening. The little girl is in for it with 5 older brothers though!

Mine's had 3 boys, all to different women, none of them are girlfriend/married to me, and none live on my lot... I was hoping there would be something akin to the apple/watermelon trick too.

I noticed when first playing that all my babies have been girls. That's when I stumbled upon this thread.

I discovered a trick. I don't know if it's an actual trick or just luck. I noticed that if the mother initiates 'Try for Baby', the baby is a boy. If the father initiates it, it's a girl. Again, it could just be luck, but so far that has been the case in all of the families I've experimented this technique with.

I've only had 3 babies so far but I've had two girls and a boy (all born to the same family). I didn't put a bassinet down for the first two and they were girls. I put a blue bassinet down for the third and he was a boy. That trick seems to hold some validity (or maybe we're all just lucky). Oh and I also had him at a hospital but I had the second daughter at the hospital as well so I don't think that trick works.

First couple had boy, girl. Second couple had boy, girl, girl, girl, boy, boy. Third couple had girl, girl, boy, girl.

So, since the game has been out for a month, I have been toying with it to see why I'm getting all girls. I noticed when I'm actively playing the family when the baby is born, it turns out to be a baby girl. However, when they baby is born when I am not playing as the family, it is born a boy. WTH?! This must be a bug with my game in particular or something...

It's no glitch, this sort of thing actually happens in real life too.
