Grim Reaper doesn't reap, travels with me, and thinks he's a bartender?

So my very first clue that my towns Grim Reaper wasn't really... y'know.. reaping souls and stuff, is when I went to a residential lot of sims my sim didn't know and looked in the window. There was a fire on the lot, and two dead sims in the kitchen, but no reaper.

I only got the one in the pic though.

Then later, a sim in my family died of starvation, and the grim reaper never came! I just looked away, and pretty quickly I realized the sim died in the corner where there was nothing but an urn. The family was home, but no one got sad about it. Sigh.

Then, my sim started going to the lounge, and guess who the regular bartender is?

Lovely. He also appears to think he is half man.

Also, he can travel with me. Is that normal?

Any ideas on what all this is about? Or is that totally normal? If not, I'm guessing there is no legit way to fix it?

If this is a glitch, it's hilarious! A reaper that's too lazy to reap, like that episode of family guy xD

Yeah, it is quite comical. He's the village drunk. He's at the bar every time my sim goes there, bartending or not. Sigh.

LOL that is quite humorous. Once the reaper just stay on my sims lots after a death and just stalked them and randomly would talk, etc....maybe he doesn't want to be a reaper. xD

I am not sure if that normal though. I saw him reap souls when my sims died and never see him usually until there is a death.

Yeah. My sims see him everyday and can invite him over and stuff. Lol. It's kinda cool but frustrating at the same time.

I think I remember trying and I couldn't but I should try again lol. He came to my sim's costume party with a clown outfit over his grim reaper outfit... But my sim was already dressed as the grim reaper. So I was like... THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE. Plus who comes to a costume party wearing two costumes? The grim reaper, apparently.

I have no ghosts, no nothing ...does anyone else? and it says my game is updated to the right version
and as for the reaper, I laughed so hard when I read this thread I snorted lol. Wish I could see a reaper at some point as well lol.

I have not seen ghosts but none of my sims or sims friends have really died so I don't really know what's up with other people not seein teh ghosties.

I would LOVE to see the spawn of the reaper! This is a glitch I wouldn't mind happening

So he came to my costume party again yesterday and he was dressed as a hot dog.

Guess what was where the face is in the hot dog costume?

Nothing. It was empty. It was an empty face hole in a hot dog costume. Wth, grim. Stop coming to my parties.

So far you can't woohoo with the reaper or make reaper babies, I tried and it wasn't an option (even tried moving him into the house temporary to test it out).

Yeah that's what I remembered too, that they could do romantic stuff but not actually woohoo. D:

My Grim Reaper came to pick up the family's mother, who was already old. He was very friendly
The family was not sad when mother died ... hopefully an update will give humanity an otherwise wonderful game

And yes, seeing my sims cheat without getting in trouble and dying without being properly mourned for is a little unpleasant.

Have you tried starting a fresh game from scratch, and clearing the cache? I have seen some really oddball "detail" glitches, like the occasional does-not-belong action tile (yes, one of my daddies briefly had a "romantic" option available while talking to a daughter, swear ta gawd ) but this takes the cake.

Also, vanilla, or mods? I have tried a few random mods, and one or two have given unpredictable glitches.
The Reaper in my games just acts normally... although he can be a real pest if you engage him, sometimes just wants to pester you with jokes while you yell at him to gtfo. Haven't tried to see if I can start a fight with him yet, though...

I have over 1000 cc files LOL so I have had the funkiest glitches before. But the grim reaper thing started before when I had only a couple cc/mods and I've read about other people experiencing it on Ea Answers HQ.

I haven't tried any of that yet though, so when it starts driving me nuts I probably will. He started coming when people died again though, instead of just finding magical urns on my lot when people died. >_< at least he did with a new family i made yesterday when I murdered them. O_O

When I was doing the 4 immortal sisters challenge, after the 3rd or 4th sim was eaten by the cow plant. He started staying round after he had done his business, and became good friends with all the sims in the house
