42 here, will be 43 in a few months. I never considerded age as a factor to determine what the age limit should be considered in saying one is too old to be playing video games. This is how-ever coming from some-one who played pong onto Atari, then Nintendo, to Playstation 1 and Playstation 2, finally onto the computer. So yeah, vid-games were and are a part of my life. I'm not ashamed of being so, nor will I ever be. What is considered too old or too young for certain things is just a state of mind. Is playing fantasy football considered the mature adult thing to do yet video games are not? Are the tournements that are hels worldly with Citadel minatures mature and adult or immature and childish? Society may dictate as such, though it is not always right. And once agian there is a very fine line between chilsih and what is fun.

Wow. That's awesome. I started with the Sims 2, and most of the time I just built houses as well. Now I really get into the gameplay. How did you get introduced to the sims?

Too old to play Thesims ? That is bullsh*t. I feel like some people are too young to play Thesims, even with the dumb-down suffered during Thesims3 to make it more childish, it is still pretty much a game focused to teens and having adult humor, and when i say "too young" is not because they have a young age, but their way of thinking leads to silly statements like this.

I used to play FreeRealms along with several older players (When compared to the typical audience) , freerealms was a KID MMOG , but it was so cool that adult and teenagers played it a lot. As for thesims ? it is not even a game meant for children, children that would think on a crap of acusation as "you are too old to play this game".

I was aways for a more mature thesims, i aways was, the efforts of changing it to appeal for younger audiences is one of the things that have beign poisoning the series in the last years.

The person that called me too old was actually older than me, but I believe knew nothing about the actual game, just heard of it and knew it was a game in general. Some people just really aren't into that kind of stuff, and I guess that as the kind of person I was talking to. I also think it's become less mature in some ways, and more mature in a couple other ways. But as a whole, less mature.

I'm 27 and I started playing when I was about 11 but you're never too old to enjoy something. As long as it continues making you happy why care about what people think?

I am over 40 and I have been playing video games off and on for over 15 years. When my son was 6 yo I became a single mom. He is an only child, so I often was called to his room to help him with the Sega Genesis game Sonic and Tails. If I remember correctly I had to play Tails and fly Sonic up some cliff. As he progressed to harder games I was called to his room only to watch him defeat some boss monster or to see a reply of his gameplay. By his senior year of high school he was into MMORPG's and I was asked if I would be a Fairy in his guild because none of the guys in his guild wanted to be one, but she was needed badly. By then I was playing TS2, I was in Best Buy looking for PC card games and it was suggested by an employee. I've been playing Sims ever since.

I'm turning 21 in January but I still enjoy the Sims. I've been playing since I was about 9 and of course I don't enjoy it as I used to back then and definitely don't play it as often (busy with uni) but I don't see myself giving up on the Sims ever.

i never played the Sims where apparently you could see friends in the game and interact??? But the game secondlife.com is what I wish the sims would go to and let us visit and interact and chat with friends, I swear I got addicted to secondlife.com to staying on it for 24 hours straight with my friends over seas, we were in the military and different hours jacked me up. I desperately want to learn how to create my own items like they did in it. Im assuming is it the same idea and programs to create these patches? Also, do you happen to know if this forum is safe to download from. I downloaded an item off a person on origins and by that night my computer completely crashed. I can have that happening. Is this website legit.

Well I am 50 with grandchildren and I love the game. I always wanted to play the sims way back in the beginning but never did. I first started playing sims freeplay on my iphone and loved it for a moment but soon tired of it because their needs were constant and became a choir. I then went and bought The sims 3 series and have been hooked ever since. It has been a lifesavior for me going thru a divorce and when I'm stressed from the weeks work I loved to get lost with my sims and my imagination. My grandson says grandma loves her sims!

Honestly, i hate the very idea of Thesims turning into an online game, previous EA experiences are a proof that it would simply not work, let Thesims stick with offline and SecondLife for people that want online, and i am not a fan of second life. Everything that the offline alone experience of Thesims offers would go down the hole many features would be cut-out and the game would loose much of it identity because it was simply not designed to work like that.

As for the download stuff, i dont really know, i only come to Sims4Forum to, well, talk. Since it is a forum site, i usually only download from Modthesims since i know it is a site of trust.

I've recently turned 30 and have been playing the sims on and off for years now. I do think it's one of them games that does genuinely appeal to all ages as different people will play it in different ways.

I'm 19 and 1) I think it's perfectly fine to play in your 20s, even in your 30s. [and even after that] 2) the majority of people will never understand how much fun it is, so don't even think about them ;) Really good things are usually looked down on *shrug*

24 years old here, and been playing the sims since the very beginning, I agree that the game has turned to a younger audience, but it's still a good game, although I'd like it to be for an older audience, because that would please a bigger part of the fanbase, and it would open up new expiriences for our sims and ourselves, and that would make the emotions in the game more fun and meaningful.

I'll be 23 in Feb & Sims has been one of the first games i have ever played on the Playstation 2 (we're going back 12 or so years) There have been times where i felt like i no longer wanted to play but i left the game for several months & then went back to it. Will i grow out of the game? I can't really answer that.
