Laptop crashes in gameplay, anyone else have this problem ?

So I am really finding it hard to story progress while playing TS4, because when in gameplay and build mode, my whole laptop just decides to crash and shut off ! I tried playing offline but doesn't seem to make a difference. I go to turn on laptop once again and then I see in "hidden icons" section that my Intel Rapid Storage Technology service has a "!" On it. Then I click that icon and gives current status, functioning normally. I've already established that I have Intel icore3 instead of 5... Also this used to happen when playing TS3. Is anyone else experiencing this problem ? I don't think it is actual game problem though, I could be wrong or it could be both PC performance and game too.

Oh and to give even more details, this also seems to happen when I am on sites like YouTube and Netflix. My laptop has virus protection from Cox - I make sure up to date...

The game is known to overheat laptops which will make the game shutdown so that it caan cool as for the youtube stuff same story. your laptops cooling system is under way too much strain. Go into your game setting. somewhere in the different categories i think its 'other' is a box that says laptop mode check it then restart ur game. it should be working better. if not i advise you take ur laptop to be internally cleaned and checked. hope it helped

It has happened to me once.

I have a powerful laptop without a history of over heating (knock on wood), and I do not have to run the game in laptop mode. So, I am guessing it was just a fluke thing. (for me)

I would suggest putting the game into laptop mode for slower processors and also making sure your laptop can breathe well... keep the vent wide open!

My game is constantly crashing. After about say 15min of in game play. I do have mods, but all them are working and all by trusted mod creators. Also have some CC, but I just don't think it is any of that. need help.
