On the 11th Sept, the embargo for the Buy/Build Master class is lifted and on the 18th Sept, the Animation class will be lifted.

I like the very first comparison image, the second one's eyebrows are pretty cool, then the last image made me cringe a little. The face in the last two pictures on the left sides creeps me out a little. No, it creeps me out a lot. It looks pretty much like the sims 3 though. Hopefully some people can be happy about the sims 4 now that you could make the sims a bit more realistic. Or a lot more realistic.

The Sims 4: Hair Growth & Movement

The Official Magazine of The Sims 3 Spain, has posted 10 bullet point facts for The Sims 4 in their latest magazine issue. Included in the facts posted, The Sims 3 Spain confirms that Facial and Head Hair will grow gradually over time. They also confirm that â€œwindâ€ will allow hair and clothing to sway, which I believe would give it a more realistic touch.
Rincon Del Simmer, who found this new info, was kind enough to properly translate the article for us. Check out all the tid bits below!

1- There will be right-handed Simsâ€¦ Â¡but there will also be left-handed Sims!

2- The Sims 4 will work better in low-end machines than The Sims 3.

3- With the passage of time, hair and beard will grow.

4- The wind will make the Simsâ€™ hair and clothing move.

5- With the Create a Sim feature, you will be able to change the feet size.

6- Pregnant Sims will have unique emotions that no one else will experience.

7- There will be three voice types for men and women.

8- There wonâ€™t be Wishes, but little goals for Sims to accomplish and gain awesome rewards.

9- Every life cycle will have a special emotion only for Sims in it.

10- Sims wonâ€™t die randomly anymore, like by a meteor strike or a lightning. They will die only by things done by the player.

Yes it's a long post (and i know how people hate them since they are only used to reading their text messages) but i've answered all of the questions of the original post one by one. And it really helped me understand how against Origins i am! I have also underlined some stuff for those who wish to skip some of this very long post (yah i'm nice like that!)

1. How do you feel about having to 'install' Origin if you buy the DVD version?

I'm just tired about having to install a bunch of crap on my computer to play a game that i bought an actual physical copy of it.

2. How do you feel about having to log into Origin (offline) every time you load your game?

See first answer + if it runs while i play it actually means that i will need a better computer to run the game. If Origins takes some of the "power" of my computer it's some that will not be available to run the game properly. This means as we all know more lags and more game freezing and more game closing by itself. Or having to spend more money on a better computer...

Now why would i need to log on to this program that makes sure that the game i BOUGHT is a real one everytime i want to play it? Does my disc will magically become a fake over night? It's still the same disc, you don't need to check it every time!

Oh yah, but if you don't log on to Origins every time you won't see all of the publicity for all of their other amazing, wonderful, incredible games you can buy![/u] (It think i found the REAL reason for all of this haven't i! Now on the same line they will be sending free publicity to you every time you want to play. Two things come to mind: 1. Do i get a rebate since you are not really paying for this publicity you are sending me without my authorization? Probably not... 2. Sims games are generally rated Teen, what is the law again for publicity sent to those under the age of 18? Food for tought.)

3. How do you feel about having to go 'online' to 'reinstall' your game even if you purchased a DVD version?

I buy my games on DVD because i do not want to have to fight with having to log on to a bunch of stuff that will need regular maintenance (updates and the "oh we don't use Origins anymore now it's Thisnewthing so you have to uninstall all of your old stuff that was previously installed".)

They want us to show them... again... that we own a real version of their game. So it's understandable that if you need to log on to internet to install it you will need it to reinstall. But i had to install and reinstall and uninstall and re-do this and re-do that it don't know how many times with The Sims3. I tought it would be less complicated with a dvd version but really it's not. Now having to go trough a certain program to validate our game to be able to play means that maybe this program will not work anymore and won't get replaced. This means that when this will happen when you will try to reinstall your game with Origins you will get a message the Origins doesn't exist anymore "sorry" and you won't be able to play anymore. It can even get to the point that say if you keep your old computer (the one you have now but that will be very old in 10 years) to make sure you can still play a game (since games that are to old won't play on new computer or only by doing some really complicated process) it won't work anyways since Origins will not work anymore. But they will be very happy to sell new the new Sim 25...

3.A. How do you feel about having to go online to validate your game even from a DVD?

I do get that they wish to control the piracy. But it will happen anyways! If someone can think of a security procedure to ensure that the game will not get cloned or pirated this means that someone will find how to go around these procedures.

I always buy everything on disc and i always BUY everything (music, movies everything you think people get for free over the internet). When i bought my copy of Photoshop (a 800$ program) it was NOT as complicated to install as installing a Sim game!! And lets face it Photoshop must be the #1 pirated program and worth a lot more money than a game. But yet Adobe is making less fuss about it. Maybe EA should be looking at some of the reasons that people want to pirate their game. I can think of a few: 1, very popular (ok that we don't change), 2, for the price of the game and the multiple expansions that could have been included at the star i could have bought a car (maybe not a car but money is always a very significant factor in piracy and add up the price of the base game, all the expansion packs, stuff packs and now stuff you can by online it's a lot of money, way more that the 800$ i paid for Photoshop!) 3, since this game is so expensive it should work great but... no it's full of problems. So instead of finding a way to get the game to be more appealing to buy instead of getting a fake version EA has decided to make it more complicated to those who actually buy it to play play the game.

Another thing that comes to mind: Now for the Sims when i buy it on disc and i have to get it validated it's so weird to me. I bought an original disc from them, i have an original security number but still your unsure that it's not a fake? Is EA selling me a fake copy or what?

4. Please explain if you understand so others can understand why Origin would even be a requirement to make you load it up when you want to play your game instead of just starting up your game?

There is just no reason that Origin should be a requirement to play a game that was bought of the self or with a disc. I get that it can be used to download a digital version and get it activated but once it's installed even then there is no need for such a program. There is no advantage when it will come to play the game. My game will not be faster, have better graphics. And let's be honest if the only reason you find is so you can update your game to get rid of glitches... well to me it's the worst reason of all, since they should have not been there in the first place.

Origins should not exist at all.

About Origin, it's really stupid I also agree with all of those points. That means you will actually need internet connection to play the game right? They initially said it was an offline game, but that way it's technically not!

Not exactly, you will need internet to load the game, but once it is loaded you can play off line. I just don't under stand why, why, why should everything be so complicated.
Anyway here is some more bad news, I was happy for a full day.........................

The Sims 4: Updates from SimGuruGraham

SimGuruGraham has tweeted some new information regarding the â€œlist of factsâ€ from the Official Sims 3 Spain Magazine. For starters, random deaths are not going to be eliminated completely, instead, the game will notify you so you can take action.

From the tweets below it is confirmed that the â€œRandom Deathsâ€ was a misunderstanding, and my guess is that the â€œDynamic Hair & Growthâ€ is part of the undecided.

So with this said, I am falling into the â€œI will not believe anything until I hear it straight from the horseâ€™s mouthâ€ group. I would never imagine an Official Sims 3 Magazine reporting false information, let alone blaming it on translation errors. This is why Iâ€™m cautious of 3rd party articles!

Regardless of the game changing from day to day, how can â€œundecided informationâ€ end up on an Official Magazine? Is there anyone that proof reads the magazines before publishing to ensure nothing false is released by official sources? If we cannot trust that the information from official sources is reliable, how will we ever find out about this game?!

It was misunderstood; we said there's generally something that tips you off to a pending Sims death so you can take actions to avoid it.

In the latest issue of The Sims Official Mag, The Sims 4 team reveals that a â€œWoohoo Skillâ€ will be one of the many skills appearing in The Sims 4. Woohoo away folks!

Although The Sims 3 already announced the release of this issue, I believe they may have tweeted prematurely. The issue is lacking proper functionality, many screenshots are missing, and information is jumbled. I expect a proper release soon.
