Why would a guru dismiss how a sim follower dislikes certain things..........

Sounds like emotions is their key feature. Hm.

About emotional deaths, I wouldn't be upset if they added anything linked to depression, but it may be a very controversial matter, perhaps not ideal for a game such as this. I do hope they kept it light-hearted for this sake.

Just knowing there are no more burrito babies, I am o.k. with lack of stuff at E3. It isn't over yet and I figured people care more about other games than the sims. LOL that death by laughter seems kind of funny and it is a rare occurrence according them (like you have to be trying to kill the sims). As for the Reaper, I guess he is getting with the times. Stories had it he carried a book with all the names.

I for one am trying to positive. I don't have much to look forward to.

Now how the hell she does not want to give away the fact that Sims die from sadness when it had it in the so called gameplay trailer (when that wasn't a gameplay trailer). A real one shows the motives, needs, and stuff. "Gameplay trailers" like she showed seem not to represent the real game sometimes.

That laughing and dying was freaking stupid. I was like, "Is he on drugs?" That laughing was just so random and too much for the situation. And she said we have to try to kill them by laughing too hard? So we have to try to make them have lots of fun or super happy? I don't want my sim to die because I made them super happy or their environment too stimulating.

I am sick of the emotions news myself too. I was hoping more would be announced at E3 and they would show off more age stages and stuff.

I was disappointed because I thought they will be playing the actual game. Is the game not finished yet? They did not even show what the UI looks like or how to
    interact

I agree. I've been playing Sims since the very beginning and I've never seen such a poor attempt at promoting a game of any genre. They seem unsure of what they have to sell and don't grasp any theme or structure other than "emotions and a more intuitive UI". I will be shocked if the game makes its release date. From my experience, we may be looking at release around Christmas or later.

Totally agree with you, glitterstardust. I really hope that Sims 4 is all good (running smooth, etc..) and totally finished early and release on Sept 2nd perfectly as they planned!

They kind of did mention that dying by laughter is actually kinda rare. Your Sim has a greater chance of dying by fire or hunger than my laughter. It's kinda like the meteor death in TS3. The game IS in Alpha stage so we still have time to see them add and tweak a few things. If anybody doesn't remember it was kinda like this for TS3, we didn't receive half of our answers until we got the games ourselves.

I was disappointed because I was expecting to see real gameplay, not another staged video showing mostly what we already knew. I like the fact that there will be new deaths. Not so crazy about the fact that we'll get a lot of warning before it happens. My husband was watching the Sony E3 presentation last night on his iPad and I have to say, EA should be ashamed of their entire presentation after seeing what Sony presented! Not only was their presentation amazing in general, they had actual in-gameplay of more than one of their titles. In any case, I am really really hoping that by next month EA has some actual GAMEPLAY to show us.
