    In the past version of the sims (sims 3) we have 3 versions of swimming:
    1. building a personal swimming pool
    2. public pools
    3. ocean

    i like 'em all!
    just don't swim during a storm. i had a sim in TS2 die getting out of the pool in her back yard and she was struck by lightening.

    I just would love for Sims to have above-ground pools. Not everyone who has pools has in ground ones.

    I like to have my more "well off" Sims to have their own private pools. But then for my "not so well off" Sims, they need a public pool to go to and EVERYBODY likes a vacation or just a day trip to the beach! So, I vote for all three.

    inground pools:
