Pool were just there for decoration whenever I build them. From splashing and breath contests, there isn't that much to them for me, so I never really used them.

Graham says a lot of silly things :p While I have the same use for pools as Dawnbreak, I would still like to see them added eventually, they made for nice decorations.

I think there skirting around it, Fountains are there and they require "digging" into the terrain. However I'm excited for the game and plan to play it for what it is when it comes. I personally believe they plan on adding Pools later either through an expansion pack or the store. But I'll deal with that when that comes. For now i'm super excited to get my hands on The Sims 4! Can't wait for September 2nd.

Like for toddlers, I'd rather see pools delayed but more fun and interesting to watch than in Sims 3. All those people treading water and doing the breaststroke, all exactly the same. :bored: If that means that the dreaded emotions make a difference, well, good! They should. I want to see different strokes, pool games, bigger splashes from bigger or more energetic Sims. I just don't want to wait for the new game for all the different animations and water physics to be coded. I'm really done with Sims 3 right now.

I really don't care about pools being gone. I rarely even built them. But when I did build them, they were for pool parties. And my sim guests didn't even get in the pool! So if they add them back, that's cool but I really don't see myself using them any more than I did in the previous games, unless they come with more interactions. :celebrate:

As for toddlers, it's more disappointing. But it's not so disappointing when you look at all of the awesome things the game does have. I would like them to add toddlers in an expansion though. That way the toddlers would be more upgraded than they ever have been, because they'd be focusing on them more. Maybe they could add a pre-teen life stage in that expansion as well. I'd buy it! :excited2:

I love toddlers, I think they are so cute but they bore me very quickly so I tend to age them up fast and get to the YA which are my favorite. Doesn't mean I don't feel for the legacy players who are suddenly missing a key element of their stories.

    As for pools?

My Sims and my townies freaking love them! I always destroy the EA made townies, ugly things with nasty traits, and replace them with my own. All my townies are athletic and either daredevils or brave. They love pools. My community pools are always full. My home pool is always being used. Then again, I always include slides, diving boards, and water fountains. The community pool gets the wave station added to it along with some entertainment things (pool table, chess table) and a barista bar. Draws them in like flies to .....well that would be a bad analogy, lol.

I feel pools would be better off if they were added later.
I mean a real Honest question here.. Without any Expansions installed, Patches, or even Store DLC for that matter..
What did pools do besides Swimming and Dying in them and looking pretty.

I mean really there's a lot of things that can be done in Pools, that I can think off the top of my head that would be great additions to them.
Game / Sports - Marco Polo, Basketball, Volley Ball, Catch, Holding your breath contest, Surfing, Splash contests, Swimming races.
Socialization [Most of these involve objects to be made for them] - Laying / Sitting on Floaties, Laying on water, Pool Bars, Swimming and Talking [This could be achieved thanks to the new Multitasking system] , Spectating pool games and sports, One Person on the Ground and the other in the pool talking.

In terms of pools (not toddlers), people were just upset they weren't in the game because they're in the previous games. So annoying...
