Hi guys! So I'm terrible at introductions either I have nothing left to say and leave others in this great big pit of awkwardness or I talk way too much and I never get my point across. I'm not exactly new per say I've been here for a few months so yeah. So...with that being said I'm going to try and meet halfway. Here we go!
So I started playing this awesome and the most EPIC game ever in the universe called The Sims when I was only 6 years old that was a long time ago. Anyway, It was in the summer and I walked in and saw my dad playing this game that I thought was really fun. So my dad offered me to play and I gladly said yes. A few hours (6-7 tops) I spent playing the Sims Deluxe or Sims Double Deluxe (I honestly forget which). That's when I knew I had to get my hands on more of it. So Makin Magic came out and I bought that and then I got Unleashed which were the only 2 Eps I had ever bought myself.
Fast Forward into the Sims 2 era. I think it was a gift but someone had bought me TS2 on release day if I'm right and I couldn't put it down which might've gotten me into trouble a few times hehe. Anyway the game was great but I learned that installing the EPs in the right order is probably best due to patches and everything. At any rate I was more interested in the EPS than SPs. I think I only bought a few of them. At any rate, I lost my first copy and ended up getting the special Holiday Edition for Christmas. Then I lost that one and many years later I got the TS2 Double Deluxe and a few of the 100 Million Copies stamped EPS. And then I bought a few of the "Best Of Collections". Those were great few years.
Now onto TS3! This was a different story. I was originally meant to get the game as a surprise from my parents but I got into a little trouble (Don't remember what it was but I messed up big time). It wasn't until October of that year that I got the BG as a late birthday present. So I got the game and had fun playing it. I remember WA being released but I didn't want to get it for some reason and I didn't buy it until after I got Ambitions. Fast forward through the preorders and game guides and discovering LPS on Youtube I've come to a point where I've played around with mods and CC (Except about that CC doll that crept up in your game from getting things off the exchange) and I know some ups and downs with the game as well. Now I'm ready to move on from that series and start something new with TS4.
Bringing me to my final (I hope) point. I am Simfan923 some of you may know me from the sims 3 forums as EAfan99 (I was like 12 when I made it okay? Not that creative). I have loved the sims for so long that it would feel weird to not have been a part of the community. Recently I've been trying to get more involved with the community and voicing my opinions about the game and trying to help others by giving advice or information or anything if that's what they need. One of the things I want to do in the community is to me a machinima director. I love writing scripts and things like that and I've already got a few projects outlined that I'm hoping I can do more with when the game finally comes out. In the Sims I'm more of a storyteller as I mentioned above I love writing and I honestly love creating these stories for my sims even if they're made in CAS I like giving them a background and try to narrate their stories and their lives as they go along their day. Which makes me want to do something I've never done before and that's doing LPs. I love them and I love how everyone is playing the same game but everyone is so diverse in their playing style. The choices they make for their sims, the commentary and just the experiences are so different which makes me love this series even more. So with this new fresh game coming out soon I want to do something different with this generation. Instead of watching LPS I want to Make LPS. And instead of just sticking with Storytelling I want to start building houses and brining my creations to life in a whole different way.
I am Simfan923 and this is my story.
