Akira was happy to arrive home. He couldn't wait to have a bath, the green stink was literally coming off of him. Thankfully, no one was around to tell him he stank. Of course, he already knew that himself.
But, when he did get home, he discovered that he still didn't have a bathroom. Nor did he have the money to buy one. Thus it was time to go explore the town in search of a shower room to get clean as well as well as a toilet to relieve his bladder.
When Akira arrived at the gym, he did not find what he was looking for. Which, was a surprise. After all, people get sweaty at a gym and when they get sweaty they get terribly stinky. He couldn't believe there were no shower rooms. And he really needed a shower, because he was starting to reek. Maybe if he hadn't gone dumpster diving behind the Movie Theatre, he could have waited on a bath.
However what he did find at the gym gave him a start. Not enough to faint, but there were a couple of ghosts. Akira didn't know who they were, for he'd never met them while they were alive nor did he feel up to introducing himself to them. They were, after all, ghosts. And even if they had not been ghosts, he still stank and did not wish to get too close to another sim and offend them with his body odor that had the scent of garbage sticking to him.
He decided to leave and look for another place that might have a place for him to bathe and relieve his bladder.
'Finally!' Akira thought when he arrived at a public inside Swimming Pool. They did have a shower room. Once he had showered until he was completely clean, he stepped out and changed into his everyday wear. He had no pink on, which usually would disappoint him, but for whatever reason, he did like the everyday clothes he had. Perhaps some day, he'd get a new set of everyday clothes to enjoy. Surely there would be pink!
Not long after, he was able to also relieve his bladder in one of the bathroom stalls.
Now that he was clean and comfortable, it was time to go scout out the swimming pool to see if their was anyone eligible to be his romantic interest.
Akira saw someone in one of the smaller pools. Of course, many onlookers would have thought he was looking at the woman as she got out of the pool. But, he wasn't.
He was looking at the man. Of course, he could not see much of him.
Akira thought, 'I've got to find out if he's available or not. Maybe I can ask the woman if he's not going to get out. I hope they're not together. It would make everything so much easier. But the first hunt for love is very often not successful. At least not from what I've heard and read.'
Still, Akira was determined to find out, even if it meant taking more time that he didn't necessarily have.
Once Akira had gathered his courage, he walked up to the woman. He didn't know her name, nor would he later remember it. After all, he wasn't interested in her. Too bad it hadn't been the man who got out of the pool. It was always so much more satisfying to talk with a man instead of a woman. Unless of course he was going shopping or looking for someone to share the local gossip with. Of course, some men were also great at gossiping, but many fell short of shopping to his satisfaction.
As per usual, when introducing himself, he bowed. It did not matter if the person were a man or woman, he bowed. It was proper and respectful. It was too bad many sims as well as the creatures of other planets, worlds and dimensions were no longer proper except in the case of the remaining Kings, Queens and some higher aristocracy. It always seemed to please, especially the ladies as well as
some of the gentlemen. In Moonlight Falls, anyway.
Akira decided to get right to the point.
"Miss, are you married?" Perhaps if he'd looked at her hands, he would have known whether she was or not. But that wouldn't have told him who her partner was.
He listened to her laugh and watched her nod. "I am married and to a wonderful man. He's swimming in the pool right there."
She pointed into the small pool in which she'd just come out of and where the man who'd interested Akira still swam.
Well, Akira wasn't a home-wrecker. At least, not intentionally. And so, he decided it was best to leave. But not without a parting farewell to keep the lady smiling.
"He's a very lucky man to have caught you. May you both have many happy years and a beautiful family." And with that said, he turned and left the building to go in search of someone who wasn't already married. If the pair had just been engaged or in some sort of romantic relationship, he might have considered breaking them up. But marriage to him was a sacred thing that was not to be tampered with.
Once he called a cab, he got in and watched the driver. She was wearing a witches hat, but with the oddest ensemble.
'If only I could take her out to get a total make-over. Or at least a new wardrobe. But, I don't have the time. Nor the money on hand right now to help her.' Was what Akira thought to himself during the drive between the swimming pool and Performers Park.
Once Akira arrived at Performers Park, he saw someone who interested him, at least from a distance. He walked right up to the man who'd been sitting on a bench next to a woman with a toddler who had... fairy wings. But neither the man nor the woman looked to have fairy wings themselves.
'If the woman has a toddler with fairy wings, the father has to be a fairy, right? So, they couldn't possibly be together.' And that was the thought which originally had him approaching the man.
But the man didn't look to pleased when he got near. In fact, the man glared at him and Akira wondered if he'd done anything wrong. But, he didn't think so.
'Maybe he's just cranky. Perhaps a tsundere I keep reading about in those manga I like to read. Although it would be interesting if instead of the tsundere being an uke, that one could be a seme. I'm not sure I like those words. What's wrong with top or bottom, pitcher or catcher? And did anyone ever think about the switches? I've come across quite a few of them in my travels before arriving here. They made great friends.'
When he realized the man was still glaring at him, he decided it best not to delay and introduced himself, properly.
