Do you prefer the cartoony look or the realistic look?

I know, I got a TS2 Create-A-Pet demo/trial a few years ago from my aunty and there wasn't much to do.
There were 3 or 5 or 6 colour options and only a few collars and two weight/size options (standard and fat).
I don't know about TS1 or TS3 but I really hope that TS4 Create-A-Pet is better than the others.

It doesn't really matter to me right now, cause I just looooooooove the sims 4 the way they look right now. If they do get any better, it will just be a bonus..............................................

I love everything, too. They look so clear and sharp, more contrast... gosh, I truly love them!

If it will be so realistic, we will be complaining that it will be laggy again like the sims 3

A sims 4 anime would be hilarious.
But I have to approve of the semi-realistic approach. Although it makes it tricky once I start to get attracted to my sims -_-

That wasn't the reason The Sims 3 was laggy btw. The Sims 3 was laggy because it loaded all sims and objects on start up and kept them going. And it shouldn't of been that laggy unless you had set your settings up high. It warns you before that y'know

Personally I like the cartoony look. It seems as though its going to be very vibrant & they are adding a lot of the things thats we as Simmers really wanted, a more on depth character. So I won't give the new look crap, I love whatever the Sims creators throw at me, I've been Simming since the The Sims. I can't wait for the release already ordered mine!!!

The more I see the Sims 4 graphics, the more I like them.

At first I thought it looked like sims 2 characters so I didn't like it but as I look at these pictures and watched more of the trailer and create a character video I fell in love with how beautiful and real the characters look, I love the cartoony look and I can't wait to order sims 4

I like both, though I prefer the cartoony look. For once in playing the Sims, I don't think I'll have to download any custom skins for this game :3

If you look at the sims 2's horrendous character models, you'd know that this looks nothing like it lol

Exactly! I honestly didn't like the look at first but than I looked at a few more pictures and it started to grow on me. I'm really excited to see what cc creators come up with for ts4

YEP! I don't like the hair, still trying to love it but I don't, so I'm waiting for awesome cc creators (or artists) will create better hair if not... I can live with it but I need to have the makeup on Sims. I LOVE makeup.

Yea because if you look at the sims 3 without any cc... like I need some kind of custom skin or make up lol

The first sims 4 CC mockup i saw was this one


I thought it looked pretty cool at first. I still do a little but i've grown on the cartoon look. Personally i think, with it being a new game and all i would want to get used to the cartoon style. Everywhere, meaning everything in game will the cartoonish and personally i think if we throw realistic looking CC into the game too quickly it will ruin it for us.

That mockup i saw above looks terrible XD I don't use much CC at all in my game if im fairly honest, just hairstyles i think dont look like paper and actually look nice on the sims. I'm very picky with my CC lol I most likely won't be downloading CC in sims 4 unless i want to switch up my game a bit and make it more interesting. It's taken me a couple of years of playing with sims 3 to decide i want CC in my game to make my sims look nicer. Before now, i have managed fine without it. I'm just looking for ways to spice up my sims 3 game now in the wait for sims 4!
