I am not to fond of the loading screens. I wish it was an open world like the sims 3. I guess you can't have everything.:(

I know how you feel, lots of people loved the open world in the sims 3, I did too. But I also didn't like it at times, with the whole empty lots (especially clubs in the late night expansion) taking ages to load a lot, being laggy etc.. I prefer ts4's loading screens because it means that lots will be filled with life and sims! ^^

Don't get me wrong the idea of open world was a nice move, but with the influx of custom content, expansions and stuff packs, the game became REALLY bloated, making things take eons to fully load in.

I'm not really that much of a fan for loading screens essentially, but at least for this one moment in Sims history I can say loading screens are like breaths of fresh air for me.

The Idea of The Sims 3 having a open world was a nice one at first, but i don't want to have my town be "dead" as you will. Alot of other players would argue that "I should just stuff in more people in the town", but thats the thing the engine cannot handle all those people. I tried it in Bridgeport and the whole game lagged like heck.. And don't get me started on Isla Paradico

I think we need more reviews like this. I like how that there weren't so many repeated phrases and that they included some of their experiences without giving too much away. My favorite was the part where clothing was the same between Teens-Elders. In TS3 it irritated me so much that I saw the cutest dress or most amazing outfit for my YA sims but I couldn't do the same for my teen sims. Now I'm glad that detail has been changed.

I loved the open world , but if it means my game won't crash i'm all for it.
Of course , The Sims Life Stories crashed too, but that disc was a hot mess.

I agree that the article was great, we definitely need more like this.

However, I find the same outfits a bit strange. I mean adults and teens don't often wear the same clothes in real life, I think it would be nice to have the option in game to choose who the clothes were for. Perhaps like a tick box, so you could enable an outfit for just teens only, if that makes sense? :D

^^oh , and I alos like the Teen - Elder stuff available for all of them. I would see ridiculously cute everyday dress for a Teen , and when I went to YA , it was only available in formal wear.

I don't know, it's not like you do that in real life. Sure, some teens wouldn't be caught dead in their parent's clothes and most parents aren't going to be raiding their teen's closets but it's not like it's not possible for either to happen. I know the Sims aren't real life (and mostly prefer it that way) but I'm glad we aren't limited in something like this. That way, if you want your Adults to wear younger looking clothes for whatever reason, you can, and vice versa for your teens.

the guess the thing I like about it is, once when I was doing a hobo sim, I could find clothes that looked like a hobo would ware in teen but not ya, or vise a versa, so I was glad to see that they could wear the same clothes. You can pick and choose any outfit now, so if you sim is more sophisticated they you would look for that kind of clothes, and never have to put it on your teen who wants to just hang around with friends, I like the idea. It is more of a choice.
