Let's talk Sims 4 pregnancy

I think it will take me a few babies to get used to clicking the crib, not the baby, and to pretend I don't see my Sims put the baby back and take it out over and over again. But the animations in between that part are so much better! So yes, better pregnancy, better (in some ways) babies. Makes me actually look forward to a Toddler-stage add-on - I might like toddlers this time!

My sim is currently pregnant and has gotten sick only once. I noticed a slight bit of weight gain but nothing real bad yet. Waiting for the weight to really pour on, if it does. I like the idea that they made this so much more realistic And if her new hubby doesn't pay more attention to her, he is so gonna be sleeping on the couch soon!!!

I only had one pregnant sim. I don't remember her ever getting sick at all. I think she felt nausuas once for a short time, but that was it. I am guessing it depends on the sims themselves or pregnancies? That sims realistic as some people have really bad morning sickness and others have smooth pregnancies.

She did gain a LOT of weight and her belly filled out as soon as she took the test and it said it was positive (she got pregnant on her first try). Also it didn't take long for her to the have the baby. Just shortly after she reached her third trimester, she went into labor and went near the crib and gave birth right way. Cool that it varies now.

My sim barely got morning sickness, and if you test right after woohoo, the belly doesn't automatically fill out.
I've also had it happen a couple times that the first woohoo wasn't succesfull right away.

Hi I'm kind of late on this post but I wanted to add that my sims just found out she's pregnant with number 2 and in both pregnancies her boobs have gotten huge from the minute she takes the test! She also wants to eat pretty much every hour. I feel her on that. Lol. I love how every sim is so different.

Every sim I have played in Sims 4 who was expecting...when she took the pregnancy test...instant weight gain...when she didn't the weight took it's time..but they do gain weight after each child and you have to keep sending them to the gym. But I also noticed my room mate house "where everyone is just friends" both male and female...I noticed when I didn't play them for like 2 or 3 days...when I came back all the woman gained weight..."NONE OF THE MEN DID" like they were depressed I wasn't playing that house..lol I just thought it was funny all four of them gained...for one minute I had to actually step back and make sure I was in the right household...smh

My sim has been pregnant 3 times. She was only really sick with one pregnancy (the second one) and she only gained a lot of weight with the first one. When she was a young adult she got pregnant on the firsts try both times but when she was an adult it took me 3 or 4 tries to get her pregnant. I've also never had her belly fill immediately but I've taken the test within a few hours of woohoo every time so maybe you're testing in the second trimester?

I've had pregnant sims take the test and then their belly fills immediately. One time I opted out of taking the test and it seems like she actually grew a small bump just as I got the notification and not a full pregnant belly.

To be honest I've not noticed the weight gain but have had the instant baby belly after a positive pregnancy test. My SIM has now had 4 kids 2 from her husband and 2 from her secret boyfriend (Don Lothario) lol who keeps showing up at my house!! But it's interesting to see the father/daughter interaction between him and his child who is now a teenager. And the other of his is still a baby but he always heads over to the crib to change diapers and rock his kiddo. So damn cute! But atm my SIM is focusing on her astronaut career and baby making is the last thing on her SIM mind

but yes she has morning sickness and bloat but I don't recall keeping the weight on

I'm now onto my 7th pregnancy of my legacy, and it's really interesting how different each pregnancy is!

The first labour took literally DAYS! My poor sim was in discomfort for about 4 days struggling to give birth! But her second pregnancy was much smoother, although she had more sickness, third the easiest yet but with so much weight gain and the fourth had a really fast labour.

What I like is how even her daughters have different pregnancies, her first daughter gained like no weight at all and the second was enormous. It really adds to the gameplay, although having a full house is beyond stressful! ~ Demeter

My sim is on day 2 of her pregnancy. She hasn't had much weight gain, but she is very sick all the time. I don't think the nausea moodlet has actually disappeared since she took the test. She pees, eats, and sleeps a lot though. I'm excited to see how the labor goes.
