Yikes! No wonder EA hasn't given any info on TS4. I'd want to keep quiet about that too! Sales would plummet. [IMG]

Concept art doesn't always actually make it into the game, so I really hope this is one of many concepts that we WON'T be seeing.

Where on Honeywell's did they get that? I couldn't find it.

Also, has anyone noticed that other pic that's up on the Mare's Nest? It's from a VERY early beta design.

More recent pics show all the blue is gone:

    The concept art keeps changing.

Gamer Headlines seem to think it won't actually be released until the end of the year. Since even the announcement of when it will be released isn't until September, they are probably right.

There are more CAS pics up at The Sims Community - Sims 4 CAS Pics. It's difficult to tell what clothing choices are available though.

EA does have some horrible fashion sense. Lol that was a very amusing read there. I now do want them to come up with better, more modern clothing designs.

The Sims 4: New Restaurant Image
SimGuruTeenyTiny posted a picture over on the The Sims 4 Forums showing the new restaurant venue for The Sims 4. He also said that the restaurant system will be more like that from The Sims 2 Nightlife.

I'm looking forward to seeing some REAL Sims 4 news.

Hasn't the New Year's spoof, been around longer than the old April 1st New Years was.
Why do people still celebrate this inane holiday? Seriously. [IMG]

The Sims 4 Annual Subscription Surveyed Before Release Date Announcement
By The Fuse Joplin | April 2, 2014
In typical EA style, it is being said that the company is sending out surveys asking multiple questions to players and the things they expect to be in The Sims 4 title.

The survey is not being done on a large scale and it has not been officially announced. Because of their secret statistics collection, it didn’t make it to any news websites so far but is making rounds in the Reddit site. One of the questions in the survey is exceptionally interesting because EA might be planning to roll out a premium subscription for the game. It will be similar to the Battlefield games where players will buy the game and pay a sum as an annual subscription. It is a bit different because BF series gets five expansion packs in total but Sims subscribers will get all the content released during the year for free.

    DLCs Made Cheap

Players are positive about this new update because they believe that there will be quality content to look forward to including skins, downloadable content, new campaigns and more. Besides, buying them all separately is definitely a pricey affair which is why they opine that a yearly subscription will be a better choice. Going by the survey questions, it looks like EA is getting ready to design the game based on customer opinion and deliver them the right packs without annoying the crowd. A list of proposed expansion packs has also been listed in one of the pages of the survey but there is no news on the rest of the questions found in it.

The survey suggests an annual subscription cost of $100 which will give players access to a wide range of DLC content and expansion packs for The Sims 4. Talking about expansion packs when there is no confirmed news about the release date of the title has made a group of players furious because the company didn’t reveal anything so far. Even during the Game Developers’ conference 2014, they spoke about concurrent actions and how the characters will be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. It is expected to make the game more lifelike but during the conference Maxis or EA didn’t disclose a release date.

    Closed Community Survey

The survey will most probably never surface out in the open because it is designed to be within a closed community. Bringing out such surveys to the public will lead to criticism which is why EA may keep it under wraps always while trying to know what players expect of them. The Sims 4 expansion packs were also proposed and it encouraged individuals to vote for the ones they love the most. Some are the pets, crime and justice, weather, magic university, rise to fame, careers and seasons among others. These could either be the entire list of upcoming packs or maybe the company is just testing waters to make sure they are going on the right track. If you have come across this survey let us know because some assume that it is pure speculation but you can’t deny that the publishers usually do such things.

Yep, and it's just so mean. First no news, then fake news! :(

    ****
They are STILL doing the survey? Hasn't it been about 4 - 6 months now? I would like for them to stop taking survey's and go make the game already. I want to play it! Lol

No Sims 4 news is implied or promised for this week.

Just thought I’d clarify (since this refuses to die) that no one from EA has promised or implied any new news this week. Aaron Houts was just trying to be friendly when he wished for everyone to have a good week.

Not to worry though — he’s learned his lesson and won’t make that mistake again. :p

Those buildings look amazing, but EA/Maxis has the habit of with The Sims especially showing stuff in their concept art/developer videos/ trailers that is actually not in the game. I remember in the first TS2 trailer when they were introducing generations, how this child was setting stuff on fire.

I never could do that or saw that in TS2.

Ah, the Sims 2 trailer. Everyone got all excited. Including me, but it was all a lie. The Sims 4 trailer is just silly, and they showed height variances, which the game won't have. :p

Luckily the Sims 4 pics are taken from the actual game. They showed off the CAS at Gamescom 2013, and they have some other pics at Sims Community from the people who got to try it out. If you haven't gotten to see the Gamescom video yet, take a look. It's pretty amazing. Fast forward to about 20.00

    Subscription Option in TS4?
    sims4news:

EA is surveying players about a potential annual subscription service. If you pay $100, you get ALL of the content released throughout the year for free, including expansion packs, stuff packs, and store content.

What do you guys think about this idea? Would you be comfortable paying $100 a year?

I personally love this idea! I would rather pay upfront and get a complete game then having to deal with silly (and, frankly, overpriced) DLC.
