So, I have been reading other posts, regarding these new pic's and I am going to quote Emoted Llama because that is exactly how I am feeling right now.

Hmm. It's difficult to figure out what I think about the images right now. I certainly don't hate them. My first instinct was "wow, those look like a huge step back," and I still think that's true. Graphically, they look like they could be from the same time period as TS2. It's definitely clear that the online-only early period from Patrick Kelly's story is true--there's no way they designed this look with a singleplayer, PC experience in mind. And I'm worried that we'll end up with the same pudding effect we got in TS3. Though at the same time it seems it could just as easily not, and get rid of the Sims 2 jaggediness at the same time. The images of the facial expressions look terrible--they're so ridiculously overdone. That's the sort of thing that will hopefully get fine tuned as the game progresses, though. I don't like the hair... but the cartoony look of it also means that making CC should be a lot easier. That's a major plus. (Though finding "maxis-match" stuff might become even harder.) You know what, I do like the faces. CAS looks AMAZING. The scenery looks extremely MMO-like, where it's all bright colors and easy-on-the-PC textures. Hey, wait--THAT'S A GOOD THING. Quicker loading times, better performance, the whole gamut, right? I'd rather easier-to-load, more cartoony textures than harder-to-load, less cartoony textures. Maybe that's just me. I really don't enjoy staring at silver boxes until things load. Super disappointing that they clearly have a more advanced, tactile CAS, and yet decided to primarily feature young, "regular" looking sims. I want you to show us the whole variety, dammit! You can save the "generically attractive mostly white people" stuff for the EPs.

So. Yeah. The more I think about it the more I like this direction. And then ooo, as I was writing this that picture with the UI was posted. Ouch. That color better be customizable! And what's with the gigantic zoom and rotate thing? And the gigantic everything, for that matter? Me no likey. And why does it look like most of the icons in the top bar are for social features? Ugghhhhhh.

So do you think there is a possibility that this is not the final version of the sims 4 and that the hair will be totally fabulous and that it wont look at all like sims social/free play.

When I first saw these images, I was like ''you're fricking kidding me''. It looks like graphicaly better version of the very first generation of the sims with some of aspects of the sims 2. Then I've took a few breaths and looked again at the pictures in search of some HOPE.
Things I like so far:
-CAS
-building options
-emotions desplayed on sims faces (however, I hope that they'll fix them in some way)
-colours of surroundings and all ''MMO feeling''
-hair and skins....only because they look easy to change while using Photoshop during making my own CC
I have a good day so I won't throw a tantrum about how some of my hopes were tarnished...then...well..yeah, let's end with this bitter/sweet accent XD.

I so hope that this is not a final version of the game. Hair maybe will be better, but as far as I see it, making it something more representable will rest on our shoulders XD.

In perspective, faces of sims looks slighty more realistic and that's a plus for the sims 4. Still we don't know how old are these graphics(yes, I calmed down a bit, lol), we'll see what they gonna show us at gamescon. Maybe all will look better. A big plus is that this sims head doesn't look like a baloon .

and I agree. I do not like the hair at all so far but ya it is early so i hope it gets oeven better.

The Sims 4 Will Have Emotional Depth, Intelligent Characters

The Sims 4 has been officially announced for a while, but the development team at Electronic Arts has not been willing to offer clear information on the core ideas behind the new game.

A leaked presentation coming from the company and seen by AllGamesBeta says that the new Sims introduced by the game will be more intelligent, more relatable and they will have more emotions to act on and express.

The document says, "The Sims 4 allows you to play with life like never before. The Sims live with rich physical and emotional characteristics and their worlds and stories are influenced by your choices and creativity."

The development team is trying to make all characters in The Sims 4 smarter, which means that they will act naturally in most situations, expressing their ideas and feelings by choosing their clothes and even by the way they walk.

Players will be able to pick personalities for all Sims, select their life goals and then see how they can perform in a wide range of potential situations.

Electronic Arts says that for the first time in the franchise, the characters will have real emotions, influenced by other Sims, actions, events and memories.

Emotions change the gameplay because they allow gamers to create richer narratives built around their favorite moments and characters.

The new game will also introduce a new Build Mode, based on rooms, which will make it easier than ever to design complex buildings and living spaces.

The Sims 4 will also make neighborhoods more vibrant, which means that the various lots will have more personality.

The development team is promising new objects and outfits as well, which can be unlocked by completing quests, discovering secrets and by gaining achievements.

EA also wants to introduce more social and sharing options.

The Sims 4 does not yet have a launch window and no platforms have been confirmed for the game.
