I'm curious, now that many people have the game, what is your honest opinion? Do you love it, is it not what you expected, are you addicted, is it lacking certain things that doesn't fit your playstyle? I'm curious as to everyone's opinion so far.

I absolutely love it! I know there have been a few experience major glitches, fortunately so far the only one I came across was my fun meter would stay yellow even at max. I did re-start the game and that fixed it so YAY! Aiden is doing the Tech Guru career path and it's sooo much fun!! I won't go into the details so that I don't spoil it for anyone but I'm having an absolute blast! At the moment, he's single and I'm focused on his career and aspiration, once he reaches the top of his career I'll focus on relationships and family but I have to say the game is smooth as butter and absolutely gorgeous! I can't get enough!! Love Love Love me some Sims 4 haha!!

    TAG your turn! :D

Aside the small glitches that'll get addressed eventually, it's a great experience for me so far. I havent progressed much lol Kilan finally found that highschool crush of his after several days of mingling around at the park, now they're trying to work something out.

(He found her when she was already feeling flirty, so you can safely assume they kicked it off really well from the jump start)

I haven't had any bad experiences with the game not even glitches and I was one of the people that downloaded from origin and played at 11pm Sept 1st. I love how the game is it runs a lot smoother than Sims 3. I find it funny that there is drama like music when a Sim is too tired or hungry or upset lol.

I love the new added clothing I do wish they had more hair styles instead of clown stuff..."I'm not a fan of Clowns" I love the looks of Oasis Springs and Willow Creek both are beautiful and eye catching.
I have a big family I'm working on "three brothers who were dating three sisters...and I now have them each branched out in their own homes raising families. All on the same lot lol what I find funny is they all live next to each other and I still have to get a loading screen to visit lol not like Sims 3 where you could just go next door.

But besides that I am so loving this game. And glad I followed my mind "like always" to buy and try it for myself and so glad I did. I haven't had any crashes with the game or like I said glitches as of yet. But I'm having so much fun I find that the "Real life" time passes by so quickly ...thank god Im on vacation haha....

Oh our bills are more Simoleons but they take longer to come and you get notified its due...which I thought was pretty cool cause in Sims 3 there was no notice.... the Repo man would just show his ass at my door usually when My Sims was on their way to work ....So glad he's gone :celebrate::celebrate::celebrate:

I've not got the game yet, but I have been eagerly reading the reviews/comments from people who do have the game. There seems to be a lot more negative responses to the game than positive. I'm just going to wait until I play the game for myself before I judge. Only thing that could be off putting for me is the list of bugs found in the game, but they can be easily fixed with a patch.

One thing that does bother me....Ok all my married Sims the wives still have their maiden names and now the children have the Mothers maiden name as well...how in the world do you change it? I went to CAS to see if I could but it says something about Sims used in world can not be edited....Is there some cheat I will need to use or what? Anyone else experience this same issue?

Yeah I see the full edit cheat as a bandaid fix until EA patches that. Worth remembering for the time being if you have any more sims getting married

Personally, I really like it :) Surprisingly, I haven't run into any glitches or crashes (knock on wood). I've been playing it since midnight September 2nd, I had it preloaded and clicked "play" as soon as the clock struck 12, haha. Even if there are a few things I wish were different, overall, I'm really enjoying it so far. :D

Oh, and not to mention, it runs perfectly smooth on my computer, which is a refreshing change from how laggy Sims 3 would be. I do love TS3, but I'm so glad to play it uninterrupted.

I am loving this game. Can't wait until after class to play more.
On my computer, the game runs smoother than hot butter. I even have it on ultra. And I haven't noticed any glitches, aside from the occaisonal clipping.
My only real complaint is that if my sim is trying to get her flirt on in a public area, a bunch of losers come over and creep on the conversation.

I'm loving the game as well as I'm playing a struggling writer who's trying to take care of her teenage sister. They only have $60 simoleans at the moment. She's been struggling with school as I can't seem to get her focused. I even love how on in the chat section you can do something other than chat with someone on the computer.

I'm really having a good time with the game. My first attempt at cooking was a salad and poor little Howie kept pulling something strange out of his ear and then looking at his finger with disgust while he was fixing it. All day long, he had the bad taste moodlet. I would too if my salad was full of ear gunk! I really love the whistling while gardening, singing while showering and the other little subtle, small things that make me just want to watch my sim.

My first goal is to get all of the chibi MySims collectibles out of time capsules. I think they're really cute!

I'm feeling like I'm going to get a lot of gameplay out of just the base game. I never played Sims 3 on speed 1, but here I'm doing it all the time, watching for the little details in what the Sims do ... like toss a salad in a mixing bowl, or how different Sims sing different things in the shower. I've not even started to explore the worlds or build mode!

I agree, I'm much more interested to see how things play out in this game!
Speaking of build mode, one of my absolute favorite features is the rooms feature. In previous games I was always immensely frustrated by how solidified the building was, how I could barely fix anything afterward, the whole thing with picking up rooms to move them and fix them is a life saver for me. :D I'm sorry I can't explain it better, I'm running on no sleep here, but you get what I mean...

    Gameplay:
As a game, I LOVE TS4. I actually immensely enjoy playing the sims again (TS3 turned me more into a builder). I love the relationships, the extreme variance in interactions, the animations, the emotions...I just love it.

    Build Mode:
I don't know if it's just because I'm not used to TS4 yet or what, but I actually dread building now (I've been putting off building a larger home for my family because I just can't be bothered to do it atm. Also I HATE how the styled rooms work. I wish you were able to select a styled room, then plop it into a pre-existing room in your house and just have it fit into that space. It makes the tool kind of worthless to me as I will build my house how I want it to look with all the rooms, then when I want to furnish it quickly with the pre-styled rooms, they will mess up all my work by creating new walls. Also I wish you could omit windows from the pre-styled rooms...as again, I will select a window style for my whole house, then the prestyled rooms will have new windows...then I have to delete those and replace the ones I originally had.

To end on a positive note though: The new roof tool gets an A in my book (it would be an A+ if they didn't curiously omit the rounded/octagonal roofs....it makes roofing bay window areas really awkward (think of the basic \_/ shaped wall structure)
