Most of you probably heard Disney's verison of Pocahontas. Well its based on John Smith's version of Pocahontas. Both Jamestown and Ronenoke colony were technically the first settlements of what would become the United State of Virgina. Both colonies disappeared over time. But getting back to the story. After the so-called events of Pochantas 'recusing him', John Smith, he stayed in Jamestown for awhile and one day there was something like a gunpowder explosions which injured John Smith. Like in the movie, he had to be taken back to England for treatment. Some time passed and Pocahontas believed (either because of rumours or what she had been told by the settlers)-that John Smith was dead. Some more years pass and she married Kocum and he died and she got taken and convert into Christianity and became Rebbecca Rolfe. She went on one trip to England and sometime in England Smith and Pocahontas (and John Rolfe) were at the same event and Pocahontas ran into him and thought she had seen a ghost. It was after this event that Smith wrote to the monarch at the time, and called her a "Princess" and fantasized the story that Disney made a movie out of-he created it.

I was at Jamestown for the 400th celebration since I live outside DC, so, yeah....it's part of the curriculum here. It's interesting going to Jamestown and seeing what she really looked like.

The biggest misconception is that she married Smith when she actually married a different John. Pochantos was just a kid when the rather unsavory Smith came into her world.

ETA: I'm not sure what you are trying to say in your story but it's not completely right (I think it's just because I'm not understanding what you typed).

"Pocahontas" was a nickname, meaning "the naughty one" or "spoiled child". Her real name was Matoaka as told by the Powhatan Nation who disagree with the whole Disney movie...can't say I blame them..her trip to England was treacherous she was taken prisoner by the English while she was on a social visit, and was held hostage at Jamestown for over a year...

What I am saying is People largely blame Disney company for fantasizing (or I should say Disney-fying) the Pocahontas story but John Smith is the one who 'disney-fied the story. Since he first told the story of Pocahontas rescuing him 17 years (as well as 2 other different accounts) after the supposed event. So if there was any romance it was probably of his invention rather then Disney's since Smith did stay there awhile after his suppose 'excution'.
