Other thread told me it is already self installed. Otherwise check at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games

Thanks for the info I was able to redeem the product code for the sims 2, very excited because I have never played before. Yay

I went on Origin and redeemed the product code to get it. Now all I have to do is go to my games to retrieve it. Thanks. Didn't you have to have a product code before it was put into your acct??

I put the code first then it goes in my games library then I click it to download but I am still downloading since yesterday! LOL I know my connection stinks. Right now about one hour left to go. I will finding out if it need some activation or not.

Me too! But I already own them all (bought them all from few years ago) now it's free.. oh well, they are in boxes somewhere in attic... I wasn't in mood to find them. lol So I download it through origin, anyway! No problem, I will post.

Just double click on an icon from desktop. What kind of Sims games you can't find?

Sorry wasn't saying I couldn't find it just inquiring as to how to get the game itself. I first went onto Origin and they had no info but looked online and they had instructions on how to redeem code on Orgin. Thanks when I get home I will download. I was looking at some Lets Play and to me they just look so funny, I guess I'm just so used to playing Sims 3 LOL but everyone seems to love the Sims 2 so I want to try it out.

I really like that the babies have legs, they should have done that with the Sims 3 but we will get the cute babies in the Sims 4

I haven't tried to download mine just yet. I figure it is safe and sound in my origin acct...but I may give it a try later, if I think my computer can hold up to it. Good to know it doesn't require a long installation process. Thanks for the info, Queen.

I didn't even catch that...I assumed she said Sept...my bad. Heh...it'll probably take me at least that long to save up enough money to buy it even...after I finish building a new computer that's able to play it.

Ok. I forgot how much fun Sims 2 was...honestly. I finally decided to download my copy at abut 1 a.m. this morning. It took about 2 hours to download...about 30 minutes in total to install (it installed itself so no need to copy/past codes), including the initial install and loading screens when the game was unpacking items. By the time I started playing the game (just to check and make sure it worked on my computer fine), I went with one of the ready made sims and moved him into an apt for a full sim day. I was excited to find no glitches, no alien looking sims (of course, I haven't tried CAS on this copy yet), no lagging, etc. Sims 3 nearly killed my interest in the Sims franchise...but refreshing my viewpoint with Sims 2 will definitely help draw me back in by the time TS4 is released.

I loved Sims 2 back in the day, but I haven't played it since the Sims 3 released and I forgot all about it. I'm kind of scared to spend all that time downloading it if it's not that great in comparison, though.
